Great job on this last piece, and happy birthday!
art is never finished, only abandoned~Leonardo da Vinci
That piece is looking awesome - I love the hue variation in the creature's fur especially
Happy Birthday, too!![]()
Don't have too many shots of that hot sauce now...
Collab looking sick
wow love that collab, cool stuff!
also happy birthday!![]()
Happy Birthday Olly!
Great work on this piece, I particularly like the reflections on the blade and the translucency of the collar.
Is that a mouse climbing up the creatures muzzle? Anywa, great work, if I had to crit I'd say possibly vary the value of the background a little to make the characters stand out a bit more. To me the values seem quite close at the moment rendering the depth of the scene a little flat.
Keep up the great work!
Beautiful sketchbook. In your last picture it seems there's something funny going on with her arms. They look a bit too small/short to me. I know it's foreshortened but still... Also the blade looks kinda flat? Maybe try to rotate it a bit.

Just crazy good! Im subscribing for sure!
Must say it took me a while to realise that there was a large dog like creature in front of the lady. In the initial stages I thought the creature was her skirt while she was taking some large strides, and the skirt happened to take on a sort of magical dog face shape... Perhaps introducing slightly more contrast in tone between the lady and the creature would help separate the subjects and make things clearer.
Otherwise, some very, VERY nice rendering, love the smoke too![]()
Happy birthday man ! (Damn we're almost born the same day except that you are 3 years younger than me...)

"I have nothing to offer but blood, toil, tears and sweat." - Winston Churchill
pimpish the environments are just killing it. as for the last illustration i dont think it reads very well
ive never seen anyone hold a sword like that. unless shes intending to slap someone with the side of the blade it doesnt make sense
if you greyscaled it i think youd spot some more glaring weaknesses in the composition,
the bold dark value of the arch cutting into the sky draws far too much attention, a softer edge or less contrast would keep the focus on the really well crafted head. the patches of dark against light on the floor are also fighting for my attention against the kind-of-hard-to-notice dog. also placing her dead centre is killing the composition, her gesture has this elegant forward movement so i would emphasize that by putting more space in front of her to suggest she is moving forward.
the angle of the hand doesnt make sense to me either. if her arm were reaching over like that you would see some of the palm mass to the right of the knuckles. also remember the arch of the knuckles, they are not a box
apart from the obvious i also softened the value contrast between the arch and the sky
Coelacanth pigeons! i love the giant dog, id like to see more of him.

The character design of that latest painting is awesome, love the collar, the earthy tones, everything. And don't get me started on the dog :p Amazing![]()
My DeviantART & my Sketchbook.
I really like how the background doesnt distract from the subject, but i think the clothing on her might be blending in with the fur of the beast, i suggest you tweak it just a smidge so theres just a little bit of a contrast, although it is not monotone at all your understanding of color is shown in this piece, great stuff, im looking forward to more!
