Some Design work i do in my school. Also final 2 are bridgeman studies.
Sorry for the shitty quility on the Bridgeman studies I have yet to scan them in the right way. I'll fix that later.
Some George B. Bridgman work from Drawing from Life book
nice start mate, welcome to CA![]()
Keep up working on the anatomy and on improving your lines. All will come as you keep up![]()

Hi there!
You start right away with studies! That's awesome!
I think what kingkostas mean is to draw the line fewer times. Sometimes you (like everyone else learning to draw) draw the same line a couple of times, to make it fit your idea of the image. Resulting in a hairy looking line. So with more confident lines and fewer strokes you get a cleaner look. The lines dont have to pe perfect and straight they just need to live their life. I hope I make any sense.I was king of fuzzy lines so I know its hard to clean up drawing style.

Keep it up and work hard! Cheers!

Friends sketchbooks
Another Update. I know its been like a month and 3 days since my last but i havn't really done anything note worthy.
I'm attempting on doing a collab with a friend but i need any advice on landscape drawing anyone can give me. I know the whole draw from life but i could use some technical advice about it.
bump to get someone to look at this
Update [3/30/10]
So yeah started working again in a hell hole to pay for college. Thats alright though cause now that i've woken up at midnight and have nothing else to do i updated my SB. All of these took like under an hour besides the more polished shaded robot which took like 6 hours and the helicopter that is taking up like 3 days worth of time for just the concept of it that isn't all that great.
A 10 min self portrait i did today. You can thank the animator Egoraptor and the webcomic GG Guys for the poop thing. It was the face in Awesome Center that made me make his face and draw it and the comic cup of soup that i put that down there.
Not my best work but again its only 10 mins and it was fun.
Update on 9/22/10

Just a quick little update on a request i got from a friend to draw one of there portraits. Good experience since i don't do a lot of drawings of the head really and is holding me back a little bit in my eyes.
More Bridgman work. A building and my sketch book looping
thanks for the comment bro. i wana see some work where you spend a couple of hours on. lets see some life studies and more anatomy too. keep digging
I second Joce's speech, try to do some more (much more) anatomy studies, as well as life drawings, and try to understand all the forms and relations between the shapes and sizes.. pay atention to contrasts and lighting, etc. the way to do it is practice, nothing else!
keep drawing!
ok man i think you better start studying gestures
@AndreRuben - Yeah i do need to spend more time. There is just a lot of drama between me and my family that has just started so its getting hard to have a moment of peace.
@andres333 - I need to do more of everything it seems. Didn't really think of doing gesture studies though so thanks for pointing that out.
A quick WIP using Alchemy and Photoshop Cs4. A lot of work to go and i screwed up the line on the right side.

Hey, very nice life studies. I'm diggin it. Maybe try to work on your line quality a bit, too? Keep at it![]()
So, nice studies! As someone sayed before me just start the boring side and start copy books (as I see you've done in firsts posts). I think you've a good hand so work hard!!!
Cheers![]()
More work on that robot. It is the thing i want to really work on right now to get a handle on digital work before i got back to a million studies
good studies , you are doing fine , please make your images smaller . keep them coming .

Nice, keep the studies going. The last WIP is interesting, but indeed you have to upload smaller pics so we can actually see them on fit-screen. Try to draw softer lines and make shading using lines on different directions. In that way you will see how the skatch will be more easy to work on going back and forth. Thanks for stopping nu at my sb man. Keep up and take care.
