so for now taking a little break so state of affairs mainly little things and changed the background a little
story behind that guy will simply be that he is more or less on its own but he decided to guard a relatively well preserved building and turned it into a safe spot for those who cant protect themselves.
EDIT: added a little WIP gif because I cant draw right now as I am not at home and I am bored ^^

here is a little self-portrait for the "Self Portrait Saturday" at Zombies,Guns n Swords
its my first digital self portrait and it sucks doing these because after seeing yourself in the mirror for years you know pretty well how you look like and therefore you notice every little fault >..> and I have to admit that I traced the Amon Amarth sign on the t-shirt
EDIT: refined it
anyways , enjoy

See the TURTLE of enormous girth!
On his shell he holds the earth.
His thought is slow but always kind;
He holds us all within his mind.

first WIP for my Russian Criminal of War guy from Chechnya for this weeks CHoW
Diggin the photography, color and figure studies. Keep it up! you rock at digital painting!!![]()
Odayga thanks ^^ nice to hear !
little progress decided to go with sledgehammers instead of machettes as it seems more reasonable for an interrogator to break ones bones instead of slicing him apart ...simply because he might die slower and is able to talk more ^^

and more plus I changed the background story of this guy:
His Name is Lew "Hammer" Wolkow, He was born in 1944 as a son of a blacksmith in a small town belonging to the council area of Novosibirsk. In younger years he did an apprenticeship under his father. During his youth he changed dramatically, he grew very tall and became overly muscular and his mood started to change he became more and more a loner. At the age of 21 he decided to join the the soviet army. At first due to his skills as a blacksmith he was part of a cavalry regiment it was around this time when his fury became obvious, once he tried to shoe a horse when it kicked him, he strangled it to death. His superiors charged files against him and tried to remove him from military service, because he became unbearable and a potential threat for his comrades. But then the KGB crossed his path and recruited him in 1969. His furious temperament and his physical strength fitted well for its new occupation as a interrogator he then traveled around different flash points and started to develop his marked preference for torture, in the 1970s he finally obtained his nickname "Hammer" for using forging- and sledgehammers during interrogation sessions. in 1979 he was part of the "Operation Storm 333" during the early days of the Soviet-Afghan War. The 17th Mai 1981 he was detained by Mossad-Agents and executed the 21th Mai 1981 in a Mountain-Camp north of Meymaneh.

Love the character as well as the narrative that accompanies him, really makes the viewer feel like they know the individual and can relate directly. No crits here. excellent job.. keep on going!![]()
Dude I just want you and NickyBeats to know that the two of you are basically my heroes. I am so inspired and encouraged by not just the advice you always have for me but the amount of progress you have both made since your first page. I really appreciate everything you and him have done for me and I sincerely want to thank you guys from the bottom of my heart.
I know how corn ball cheesy that sounds but I mean every word of it, so thank you both![]()
Odayga thanks a lot your ongoing support really pushes me to do more stuff ^^
LtPlissken yeah youre right about the proportional issue have to check on this and thanks for your consolation
Medusoid naaaah nothing cheesy in sharing ones feelings actually thats quite brave and applaudable ^^ and about the statement itself : youre welcome ^^
so some new stuff playing around with shapes, brushes, colours . both were inspired by Jaime Jones paintings , enjoy
Your new works looks great! I like where you're going with the 1st one. Reminds me of the Tanith Imperial Guard, if you know what that is. :p
