a bunch of sketches, trying to losen up a bit in my sketching, i usually doodle wit ha harder brush...but i kinda enjoy this a bit more i think, i just need to learn to paint too and not just depending on a lineart when coloring ><
Looking good. You're pretty competent technically already, and improving steadily, and you have a healthy imagination.
I'm no painter myself, yet, so take my advice with a grain of salt. If you want to learn to paint without the use of line art, paint without the use of line art. Throw yourself into the breach.
http://www.conceptart.org/forums/sho...33#post2548933 I have a sketchbook.
Looking good! I think that it would look allot better if you cleaned up you digis. Dont get me wrong, they look great as they are. I just like clean lines, maybe even painted. You draw good figures. Now paint some finished one's. take care.
Yep, would like to see more. Your gestures are great!

inspiring Sketchbook! Thanks for sharing! Keep on posting these cute characters of page 1!
thought i should update here...some personal crap happened in my life and it have totally ripped away anything called creativeness, inspiration, motivation from me lately...so stuff is a bit stiff and forced, but trying to keep the drawings coming...
and thanks all for the comments and taking your time to visit my SB, means alot!
one thing im starting to improve since i started school this year is patience x)
and i do se a slight improvement in my own stuff when i actually take time for it and not rushing myself...
heres some new stuff, mixed personal sketches and drawings with some roughs for school stuff.
ill upload the final drawings for school assignments when i get them back and can have them scanned x)
i dont know if i should post finished stuff here too or just keep updating with sketches, studies and schoolwork?
but if your interested in some finished drawings i got it on my blog
your figure sketches are soo good! a lot of dynamic in them. overall i think thats you strongest point, so try to go deeper! make more anathomy drawing and realistic shading. this will help your understanding. also work on your colors, draw more from life. the thing is: even if your goal isnt to be a still life artist, you need all the knowledge you can get. even if you paint mountains and fruit bowls for the next 2 month, it will help you out and bring you forward in some way. every stylelistic stuff we draw is based on the reality. anyway, great work and keep your cool charakters coming aswell!
Lateman: Thanks for the feedback! much appreciated
im constantly practicing anatomy, have to admit i been a bit lazy and not doing enough on my free time since school started, but we do have lifedrawing twice a week at school im trying to get a better grip of the skeleton structure lately and hopefully ill improve some more within a short coming future
ill try to post some more of my lifedrawing :o
im gonna slap myself to do some more still life practice as well, as i rarely do that, im bad
anywho sorry for the wall of text, heres a little practice from photo refs!
im really trying but still i have a problem when drawing from refs to get the proportions on the spot
Loving the update! Some great character designs and I think the life drawings are looking nice as well. Great linework as well. Even though this post isn't recent, post #74 the last piece with the woman and the blood, the texture in that one is awesome! I love it. Nice work and keep us updated!
All your work has real character to it. Your understanding of what makes the poses work seems good to. You might do fine to study some frames of Takeshi Koike's work.
Wouldn't worry about your life drawing, it will advance. Hope you have good teachers to study under. Take the humble approach and you'll be a master.
WOW great stuff! Now i can really appreciate your flowy lines comment in the other thread. Your poses are inspirational, and you make wonderful use of tails, tentacles, ribbons, hair and other flowy things. Very dynamic.
Aresa: thank you very much
cout<mecha thanks so much for the kind words! and i will take a look into that guys work, thanks for the tip
pondman:thank you! i have a very good (and patient) teacher in lifedrawing, i sometimes have to ask him bout the same things over and over and he always helps me and im slowly starting to get a better understanding of things
PsiBug:hey, thanks for taking the time to come to my sketchbook im glad you like it, thank you!
heres some new stuff!
turnarounds and expression for character design class! im really enjoying it im also working hard to get more personality to my characters and esp. their faces, its really fun but so so soooo hard . (and please ignore the wonky faces/eyes on the turnaround, i noticed how awful it looks after i scanned it )
rest is just random doodles and stuff..
gonna try get some pictures of this weeks lifedrawings during weekend and post up, so you´ll see im doing useful things as well
