    God of Fall *big!*

Hi people. Yes, more of the same stuff from me. I was thinking it would be cool to design a huge beast to represent each season, and since it's Fall right now, I used that as inspiration for the first one.
Its an ink drawing on 8 1/2 x 11 copy paper, scanned in and coloured in Photoshop with a mouse.
I'll draw the God of Winter next. Thanks.

rockin Brass...I also agree however this seems like more of the same from your creature dept. It would be cool to see some creatures that had less reptilian design and incorporated other animals. I think you're on the right track with the color scheme and the antlers do alot for it as well.

Once again, just an opinion. Great work as per usual

    Oh my god!
Amazing work man..I love your creature design..great linework =)
And the colors you used are perfect, I love the orange parts for some reason =P
Well just awesome..I know the project is just character design, but I think itd be cool if you did like seasonal backgrounds for each?
Heh, then again, thatd be really hard work..well, just an idea.

    Thanks for the feedback, everybody.
Yeah, I notice I keep doing the same kinda thing and I'm trying to stray from it. The next one's different, so hopefully it'll work out well. Thanks again.

cool creature...the gesture of the body is great. The only crit I can give is a bit more expand and contract space for details so it doens't show up too much like a pattern. Thats just picky stuff Anyway, nice concept and I'm looking forward to more

Hot damn, that's cool. I love the way the wrinkles and folds in the skin flow around the muscles and joints. My eyes do get a little lost in all of the crazniness going on with his back legs. Maybe if there was more highlights or darker shadows it would be easier to figure it out. Either way, awesome work!:p

oh, and something I noticed after chcking your image a bit mpre: it looks like a Zerp Hydralisk from starcraft (at least the cranium area)..

Thanks for the comments and such, everyone. I appreciate it. About my painting technique (if you can call it that) - I just use a hard-edge brush and plenty of layers. Polygonal selection-tool/fill for the complex stuff and shadows/highlights.
I haven't played Starcraft, but I've heard the comparison a few times now. Same with those Warhammer 40K things..don't remember the name. I guess it's a popular and effective base (insect) for some scary designs. Anyhow, glad you guys like it, thanks again.

    oh great!

    Is this thread already ended?
    It is an uncanny design.
    It is wonderful.
Japanese people cannot do at all.

Is the Toriyama akira know?(The author of a dragon ball)
your painting technique similar to him.
Although there is a similar idea(Starcraft,alien,etc...), it is wonderful that it is made to a form with peculiarity.

Hey arron ive been offline for a while cant wait to see what else youve finished while i was away msn me at [email protected] keep posting man !

as far as the design goes you have achived your style so alot of yourstuff is going to look the same of course I think thats eveident and unlike alot of others you post alot of your sketches in search for something difrent though your avatar reflects a difrent style maybe try sketching something you hate rather than sketching something you enjoy if your stuck !
