Wow....those alla prima paintings...the oil looks so thick and texturized, they really come to life. Beautiful work! I'm subscribing to this too

Some new stuff, a commission trip to paint Texas wildflowers a few weeks back and local trip with my friend Paul who came out from Seattle to paint for a few days. All 9x12 inches oil on linen on board.

Hahahah, I enjoyed the first three landscape, seeing the close proximity of the environments and how everything fit so nicely together. I was then sucker punched by your excellent handling of distance and atmosphere in the last. Very, very well done. Someday, when I venture into painting, I'll have to refer back to that last to get a feel for extended landscapes.

    Hi matey

I was looking and admiring your high quality work in awe and admiration (obviously) and I saw her!! I went out drinking in Manchester once and ended up in a club, being a suave type chap I talked the pants right of a gorgeous girl and took her home, imagine my horror when I woke to find her looking like the girl in post 141, I ran screaming all the way home, thank you for posting and for bringing back my nightmares.......... LOL

all the very best to you mate and silliness aside I love your work

A couple of new personal digital pieces
My digital work is the preliminary phase for future traditional paintings. In the case of the Corwin of Amber image I plan to use real silver leaf for the roses in the background.
