These are absolutely brilliant Dpaint. You mentioned you do alot of traveling and painting that sounds like the way to live. I've always wanted to paint the American southwest. Thanks for the inspiration.

    Hi matey

I lust thought you needed a pat on the back for the girl lost in thought, you have really caught that one matey its great. I like it as it prompts you to wonder what it is that she is contemplating and I just love that in an image.

well done and all the very best to you and yours! and thanks for taking the time and posting.

Not much of a dispute. I love the work dpaint.

Question, did you have a model for the portrait? I like the head dress.

Yeah, I shoot my own reference for things like that. In this case it is from a 20 year old ren faire picture I came across looking for something else. The pose and everything is pretty much how the photo was but I changed the models features and kept the lighting structure.

I love how your traditional painting comes through in your digital work- I really dig the painterly style.
I am so looking forward to your still lifes next month! Will you include a step-by-step?

LL thanks. I haven't shot any step by step of the still life paintings. I have five left to paint so I will see if I can shoot one indoor and maybe one outdoor.

I like the way you make lights and colors in your landscapes Maybe the foreground could be more precise sometimes, but some atmospheres are very cool (sorry for my english, I'm french ^^")

Thanks for the comment. As an alla prima painter my focus is on color and light. I prefer to let my brushstrokes stay obvious and ignore polish, its a conscious choice on my part though not everyone's preference.

Your plein air landscapes take my breath away. The light and colour in 3 and 4 of the last lot are wonderful. I have a million questions but I don't want to bore you so I'll just keep quiet, keep paying attention and maybe one day I'll be able to produce something good of my own.

Good luck with the show and thanks for sharing. Hope you post more soon.
