Howdy. New BCF member here. What cards are we considering most desirable?

Oh that's a tricky one. I'm totally not sure.
I think I've decided on my 2 cards.
I want Ace Of Pentacles (Definitely)
And one of the following:
The Star
Strength
The Hanged Man
Hi Commander, nice to have you in our team, I hope NovocaineHeartString will post something soon, just to know he's here.
Alright I decided which 2 cards I will take, XV The Devil, and the Ace of Cups.
I'll take:
XVIII The Moon
King of Wands

Nice choice Commander.
Here are some pics just to start things.![]()
Sorry! I was busy the past day or so, which is why I haven't posted!
I am still deciding on which two cards to pick from...this is a tough choice!
I think I am going to take the Six of Swords and Judgement. I got some epic ideas for the Six of Swords, so I will post some WIP in the next couple o'days.
Alright! Nice to see you man, I was worried for a moment that you forgot about the tchow.
Now that we're all here it's time for some rock n' roll!![]()
Hey all. Just posting a brief note saying where I am at right now. Been experimenting with mood colors and some thumbnails, in the process of collecting some reference images of ancient boats (Roman-era).
Here is the brief of what I am doing for the Six of Swords:
I am imagining a woman sailing away from a burning city. She is sailing on the back of a magic sword, which has dual sets of swords on each side, acting as oars. The sixth sword she will be carrying on her back, a symbol of her moving toward a new future. She has the expression of sorrow, yet a posture that indicates her acceptance of a new path.
Just popping in to post a sketch that represents what I think I'm settling on for the King of Wands. I've kinda dropped the whole WWII bomber nose art concept in favor of a more illustrative style. This one has a pushed perspective and emphasizes a unique-looking face with some dramatic gestures.

Novocaine that could turn out great, can't wait to see some sketches for that idea.
Great job Commander, like the look on he's face!!!
I'm having some problems with my internet provider, and I'm unable to upload any images, I hope it will be fixed tomorrow cause I have few sketches for you guys to see.![]()

Will be up as soon as I hook up my scanner, hopefully this evening. I moved a couple of weeks ago and I haven't had a chance to hook it all up yet.
My suggestion if you're still having problems with the scanner is to try just getting some good lighting on it and using a digital camera.

Here is something I was thinking about the ace of cups.
So why a naked woman and a goblet/chalice?

I finally got my scanner hooked up and working! Like I said, these are mostly just thumbnails. I am toying with changing it up from 1 point to 2 point perspective..
Thankfully, my girlfriend is being awesome and is going to let me use her as reference on my day off.

Alright, hey guys. Just to let you know...
I'm still in! I'm going to work on my pieces tomorrow. Good job everyone. I really like that magician! We need something to tie all our pieces together, such as a style or characteristic.

I think an easy to use theme would be to have all of our entries include a figure of some kind (I mean, that's likely anyway, right?) and to have that figure have a black hair. I find black hair to have the feeling of mystery compared to lighter shades and that fits with Tarot. It is a subtle theme but should allow for the imagination to run free elsewhere.
What do you think?

Well, it has timed out a couple of times, but here goes again..current WIP. Plan on putting this to bed this week, so I can get my 2nd card started.

I agree with you on the theme idea, Captain.
So yeah, been working the piece a little bit, but then realized last night that my perspective got a little skewed on the main sword's handle, so I have to go back and repaint that tonight, which is ok, because I wasn't really 100% happy with where it was going anyways.
Oh man, I completely fell off the face of the earth on this one (did you know the earth was flat? I found the edge). Time to get my life back in order. Sorry for being a drag on this team exercise. Good luck on these projects in the future, guys!
