Famous Bollywood Awards
This isthe oldest and probably the most prestigious set of awards given to honour art and technique in Bollywood. The Filmfare awards were introduced in 1954, in the same year that the National Film Awards were inaugurated. Since they are presented by the Times Group, they were initially referred to as Clare Awards, named so after the editor ofthe national daily newspaper, The Times of India, Clare Mendionca. The Filmafare awards have a dual voting system, wherein the public as well as a committee of experts contributes towards the decision making.
