So, I think that was it for me today. Tomorrow I'm gonna redo the underdress and will hopefully put on some decent embroidery and the still missing feathers - and look for the still somewhat screwed anatomy and shadows >_>

The card has also been associated with messengers, air, thought, and I'll look into implementing 'swords.' But, I'm not sure. I wasn't going for the literal.

11th is the day of my first exam D: The other ones will be on the 15th and 18th, just that you know. 15th is English, I won't have to learn many for that, luckily.
I'll see that I still do something during the exams, but the first one, music, is quite a lot to learn unfortunately :/

Okay I'll try, but I suppose I'm not a great help.
Well ... I think its about the color. This woman has pretty much the same skin color:

But I just can't figure out what exactly the difference is :/ Maybe it's only the white light instead of the bright one in the jungle. Or maybe the darker parts of the skin in your picture go more into lilac, could that be?
And on the upper arm it looks a bit like metal because of the way the light is reflected, it should be softer.

By the way, I'm so jealous that you can draw hands this good x__X

And in regards to hands: I'm still working on it. I got a collection of anatomy books for christmas, from my mom. I had a Burne Hogarth book, and now I have 5 George Bridgman. I also took some anatomy/life drawing courses during college. Just keep practicing. If you can't get books, google "how to draw hands" or go through deviant art. It's a start.

Ephelia, I liked your peacock design a lot, it's elegant and disturbing at the same time. The human skin reflects light but it isn't a mirror!. Don't use only red or reddish colors for skintones, some subtle bleu's or green's can do miracles. The hands are executed fine indeed, but the upper arm and shoulder need some work.
And if you're bored with it, you've got two characters don't you

Don't be discouraged if it doesn't. Things don't change overnight. And, have you even attempted your second card? We're nearing the halfway point.
