The progress in your work is really great, you're getting better with every update and it really shows. Good job. ^_^ Loved those wild marker drawings on the first page, the later stuff is better, but those were really brave and just awesome.
tbaldree: Thanx mate
Hyptosis: Thank you for optimistic commentI'm glad you like some of my work! I want to come back to markers when I'll got more skills, think it'll be even better
Here I tried to do a portrait of my friend:
youre improving, great job with the portraitit looks great
aks9: Thanx
some unit concepts:
Hi, you have really great drawings and studies, so clean, it looks like you can catch the correct line for first try, that's something I really want to!
Your paintings from imagination looks a bit more childish, may be if you concern more about overall lightning than about forms and contours it would be better.
Maybe paint more impressionalistic rather than draw, and try to make rough solid blocks of flat color first. Also if you use some harder or more angular brush it could help, circular softedge brush makes quick painting to blunt.
I really really like the girl with stick on May 16th, 2010, 01:20 AM, so great story, prespective, would be cool to see some new remake, as your painting skills improved now.
nice sketchbook so far! I can really see the improvement here, you also have a good grasp on colours and contrast. The only minor thing I'd try to work on is the contrast in your pencil drawing, maybe to add some simple shading so the light source is visible
Keep it up!
asiJa: Thanx for good comments, as for the girl with stick I don't feel like to finish her... Maybe better to do other experiments with perspective
mokka: ThanxIf you're talking about my last pencil drawings, shadows wasn't nessesary, so to save time I haven't done them. But I'll try to do next time
Anatomy studies (it's getting harder o_0) and a couple life sketches:
its looking good.. keep the study's flowing..
oma: Thanx
Not much for today's update:

oma: I wish I could have at least 25 hours a dayThanx for support!
Repost from "Draw From "What Does Everyone Look Like?" Thread , this is Aleio![]()
Another lizard and character sketch for my friend's manga. What do you think? Anything you like/dislike? Really appreciate your feedback![]()
One more... try to study form
that lizard is really good. your painting is improving lots
my "dislike" is that the body seems a little flat, i think its the direction of the strokes, they dont really give it a rounded feel (whereas the rest of the lizzard head does, like his big jaw there)
i like that little girl painting. kee them commin.. !
You have alot of lovely work hereYour Bridgman studies are coming along really well. I'll check back

I really like the updates!
the studies look great and the digital lizard as well.
It just still feels a little flat. What helps me at this stage is looking at the painting blurred and with just one eye. this makes me see the animal as a complete shape and forget about all the little scales for a second. This can help seeing where the biggest and especially darkest bodyshadows are.
looking forward to more!
aks9: Thanx a lot for the crit, I see what you mean, I think I rushed too much and didn't pay so much attention to body as for head.
oma: Thanx a lot
Karein: Thank you, really appreciate!
monotony: Thanx for stopping by, I see this problem with lizard now
So I have a lot of troubles with VOLUME, how to show it properly and believeble? Try to study it on this sketch, posted it also in "CRITIQUE CENTER & W.I.P. SHOWCASE", because I'd really like to figure it out.

Nice work keep going!
If you're having problems with volume then you should check out Glenn Vilppu's Drawing Manual. He's the full-flex master when it comes to volume. It's a very simple approach really, and he's a great teacher. Do give it a look.
post #123 is really good btw. more please
Your sketchbook's very inspiring. Full of studies, still life, environments and animals.
Keep it up!
1986: Thanx, it's a pity you've deleted your old works, they were good
qlotzan: Thank you
TopSecret: Thanx
Mr.Pryminista: Thank you for giving so great resourсe, I took a quick look - and he has a lot of information and tutorials, hope I'll find more time to study it soon
Yasu.:Thank you a lot, glad you like my work
You're the best motivation, guys, thanx again!
Run into Windmaker's sketchbook and his beautiful houses http://www.conceptart.org/forums/sho...2&postcount=18 inspired me to give it a try

Your work is really pretty
That flying bug from page 1 is so cute.
Your manga characters looked good, the art is definitely good enough for me to read it, but something felt off about the face of the upper left character. I'm not sure but I guess the character's right eye isn't angled to match her left eye, not sure though
Please post more!
nice update i like the light reflex
keep it up

Ooh! Awesome little house there! Great work! Would be awesome to see more of those![]()
And your other work is getting pretty good as well. Love your studies!
As for showing volume convicingly- I'd reccomend doing studies from life. As boring as it might sound, painting some cubes, cylinders and spheres from life will help you quite a lot. And, in general, you can't go wrong with doing work from life.
Also, the better you understand the form that you're painting the more convincing you'll be able to make it. I found that sculpting bodies and skulls helped me incredibly much in understanding them. And this, in turn, helped me a lot in rendering them.
Good luck! And keep posting!
