nice work with those last few. As kiwigarbage says it is good to get the general shapes down first to see any obvious differences in proportion. The Biraffe is awesome, although one thing I've noticed is that the back legs are different lengths. The "knee" of both is the same height from the ground but one is at an angle, so when straightened would be a fair amount longer.

I try to draw and then when I'm almost finished I compare things that should be approximately the same length in the same position.

Its all looking great apart from that little thing though. The fruitrate is great too - very original

I think you might want to go darker in shading on some of those, though I'm not sure since I don't have whatever you're drawing from.

And I think I'm going to have nightmares from the vegetable guy. Honestly the scariest villain anyone has ever painted/drawn on this forum. I think I'm going to go hide ;(.

A quick sketch from a photo of Marilyn M. And I know you shouldnt start off like this, but I will not finish this just because of the start. Just wanted to scribble something yesterday when I had some minuets over for art. Will draw the mouth too but thats it probably.

Its hard cause I know all these things I should practice on but alot of those things I dont feel like doing. To this point Ive almost only drawn things that I have wanted to draw not that I should have. But now when I start artteacher class I will most likely need to draw things that I need to. Maybe this is good, we'll see.

I saw the last airbender yesterday, will draw something from that movie and something from the series too. its a good way to get inspirtation by watching movies

Well, deciding not to practice what will help you to improve, just because it's not what you want to do, is your prerogative. Just means it's gonna take you that much longer to get where you want to be

Aye buddy, gotta practice things you hate in order to improve. I say just grit your teeth and go through some of those things...but do more drawing of things you particularly enjoy. I'm getting to the point where I enjoy drawing a character as much as I do a pipe in an industrial landscape. O_O

you have to practice things you don't really feel like doing sometimes. For example I used to draw eggs at one point, and still would consider doing it today. So mind-numbingly boring but you can learn a lot about light from doing tedious studies like that.

Oh and WHAT THE Sh%T! that marily monroe drawing was looking really strong man - off to a great start. There is evidence of a definite pencil level up from that piece so just keep on working away

Kiwi- yea m8 I know, just saying Im having trouble sitting down drawing things I need but that I dont want to draw. But this is something Im gonna have to do! Will try to get my ass into this alot more this year.

Deadly- haha I will try to draw these things more, so fun to watch your progress m8 and fun that u keep on pushing me.

Thomas- haha only eggs? I know ur right, everybody tell me the same thing. But now when I will study art in school I hope to start learning to study, and not only to study things I like haha thank you very much very kind.

okey so all u ppl telling me I need to study things that I dont wanna draw, here is some skulls that I didnt want to draw haha. But I know bones and skulls are good to study. Maybe I will start studying Loomis for realz soon.

I am sorry I havnt been around, I really like this place and all u ppl! I just have had some stuf to take care of and I started art class so been really busy and I am all up in a move to a new house this tuesday.

Well u are getting a small update now, a piece I did for school that is due on monday with a red chalk lid in a mech pen, hope u know what this is, I hate these terms in english ^^ Its style is inspired by Il Guercino and I have used a photo and mixed it with memory to get to this point. I am nor sure if it is totally finished but here it is so far.

And Some of u might see stuf that look a bit off but I had to use his style more or less for this assignment so u know, and I know her face has some issues but well it cant be perfect.

Will upload more stuf next week after the move have been trying to use some other mediums too so stay tuned.

Right now I am working on getting better at drawing hands, will have two weeks off from school to do this, so here forth there will be alot of hands but youll have to wait until tomorrow to see the first ones cause the light are to bad this time of day.

YAY! GJ PMB! I started uploading stuff to my SB again, first time I've posted traditional work since I started it. Unfortunately my camera isn't as good as yours, so my colors and value were even more blown out. But I see what you're saying -- IRL I bet the colors look great on your work. I feel your pain with that .
