Does anyone know when shawn barber's next dvd "portrait painting from reference" is going to be available? I tweeted him and he said soon through massive black and CA but I was wondering if there was a more solid date?

it's close, there is no set release date yet, but within a month, for sure...

Awesome, I just got the foundation painting and it was very, very helpful. So I will be sure to get this. Can't wait!

ssswwweeeeettttttt. My school sucks... teachers teaching art instead of artists teaching art. I learned most of what I know through videos and books, foundation painting was terrific. can't wait for this one.

Good question.. I was wondering the same thing. I tried tweeting at shawn again but he just blew it off I guess bc I never seen a response. No one from MB on here has ever responded when I asked.. who knows with these guys they are always up to something, though it can be slow going when it comes to releasing things.

MB is still working on it- not sure what the release date is...

We didn't want it to feel rushed so unfortunately I had to delay the final editing pass until after a very long work trip/holiday break. I'll be back in the office early February, with loads of new content and eager to finish up work on Shawn's video.

Perhaps they do not yet have an estimate... They would perhaps rather not come with a release date and then have to postpone it for whatever reason, and then making people more pissed than necessary.

Yea I got the jist of why they wouldn't come out and say until they know for sure. I'm just trying to keep my thread alive and well and to make sure they know that there are many of us out there that are waiting on this particular release.

Just my end of the month check in... ha bring on the DVD.. James Cameron must be editin this joint.. this shiznit is taking longer then avatar to come out. Is it 3D as well? come with those silly glasses so it looks like shawn is throwing liquin right at us? just wondering. Maybe you CGI'ed some other characters into the mix to make it more entertaining? NO.. I'm off? Ok.. well I'll go back to my corner and wait some more. Wake me when its time. thanks.

Why do people insist on telling other people to be patient. Do you really care if strangers are impatient or not? MB should take it as a compliment that people are excited for their projects.

ryanoir: thanks for the unsolicted 2 cents... you should save the change for the homeless. I know its not easy to put it out and I've said before that I comment on my thread to keep it at the top of the list and make sure MB knows there are people out there truly looking forward to the release (which was supposed to be a month or more ago). Its funny how people drop in to tell me to be patient like I'm an ass.. everything I've said has been in a joking tone, go back and read.

Yea obviously that would be the case but I keep asking bc I was originally told it would be released or thought to be in like Jan. Its pratically June now, so I just keep checkin in, in hopes of having a firm date eventually.
