I'm going to start doing two to three character designs a week and really try and push myself to improve my composition and Photoshop skills.

For this week's CHOW.

started on my design for the surveyor now

Ok just going over some ideas and research. Right well the main ones iv been thinking of are, Knight of pentacles. Personally, I associate pentacles with mainly the raising of daemons, like i think its an amulet etc that summons a spirit. So the first thing that comes to mind character wise (for both queen and knight) is cultists, also they could have the pentacle marked into a blade, or as a scare such as on there back.
Also the pentacle, being made up of two triangles, the up one meaning water, and the downward one meaning fire, well it was in alchemy anyway so that's somthing cool for some inspiration

Yeah, and there's also tower, that one i imagine as ether a giant, or an elemental like creature with carries a city or a tower or two on its back. Also there's the possibility for just an abnormally large man who's like a gristled warrior or hunter etc.

The others are fairly easy to make them into a character so no real need going over them. But for drawing, I'd like to do the tower and one of the pentacles. Other than that I'm not really fussed =]

Those are looking really cool, here are the ones that I think work best
Tower; the fifth from the left, integrating the tower into the character is a cool idea.
Ace of Swords; The centre works really well I'd keep the cloak from obscuring the lower half of the figure though.
Knight of Swords; I like the two on the left,just make sure we can see at least 3/4 of the figure.
Judgment; The one on the right has pretty cool composition and actually the middle one would work pretty well for The Tower too.

Excellent were truly rolling now. I'll start refining a few of my ideas. And i must say, liking were your going with them towers, rava like how the tower is made into the armor of the knight one. Must ask mind you, is he meant to be a giant or a knight in tower shaped armor?. As well the design to the right, i think really has some potential. Seem very much like a god, like of ancient Rome.

Thanks Xabian I was going for a giant walking tower knight thing. Which two do you have your heart set on? What theme do you want to do? I haven't done any real fantasy work for awhile, I'd like to go that direction.

I'm working on Knight of swords right now I want to have that up today, these were the strongest concepts from my thumbnails, still thinking about a palette to work with any thoughts?
