WOW! I REALLY REALLY like your style! The girl with the cigarette sitting at her laptop is probably my favorite! And the way you did the background in the second painting in your first post (girl with blue pants and blue circle on her black shirt) is AMAZING. I just can't stop looking at that piece. INCREDIBLE stuff here!

But what are the tractor and car designs for? Just curious...

I must say this is a very unique style. The images appear photo-realistic, but loose and shaky at the same time. Almost looks like an effect someone would try to achieve with a filter. Bravo. It's crazy how you were able to get that look with such rough shapes. My one gripe would be the first pic has no shadow under the girl to establish her standing there. Other than that great stuff and fresh style!

Absolutely stunning. I love the looseness and sketchiness. I admire your ability to think in color and transform "brushwork" into a really realistic figure.

How long do you spend on each piece?

Wow, so you are industrial designer. On the one hand it shows because your cars, bikes, etc. are beautiful. On the other hand, I have to say ... it is a waste of talent because your humans are just mind blowing! When I saw the miniature of the first pic I thought it is photo! But then I told to myself it cannot be, this is not a forum for photos. I love your techinque, could you post a walkthrough or some WIPs? I assume you work in PS, right?

I'm fairly sure I've seen your work before. If not around here I know somewhere else. The car designs are pretty distinct and the finish you put on paintings is really something interesting.

With that said... I always wanted to know how you arrived at that finish. Do you have any progress work you'd be comfortable showing? I'm just baffled.

At first I thought it was something you were doing after you were done, but I don't really think that's accurate.

I'm sorry for my curiosity. I've heard it killed the cat... I'm just intrigued to a degree that I haven't been in a while.

reminds me a lot of harley brown's impressionistic style - not a critique mind you, he also is quite good at balancing value with strange colors quite difficult honestly- managing to feel realistic without stifling. so its very hard to maintain this airy kind of feel. anyone who has a tendency to overrender (myself included) could learn alot from your style. I really don't like the turqouise car next to the asian looking girl in post 6 just doesn't seem to compliment her, although she herself is done quite magnificiently.

WOW! Haven't been to CA for the longest time, and this one of the first threads I look at and I'm blown away. After looking at the first image of the girl and hedge I though 'hmm, another quick photo paint-over', but after looking at more of your work... I love it. Such a loose, evocative style, creating shape out of loose strokes, it's very mannered, but lots of fun, I really like it! Don't lose your style, but evolve it and see where it can take you. Thanks for posting and I look forwards to seeing more.
