First impression is that you should use the image attachment feature so that a thumbnail shows up in the forum page. Second reaction is that I have to scroll right to see anything. Reduce the picture size a bit when posting it here. I know the aspect ratio is set.
Third - Leave room for the title. Where would you put it right now?
Fourth - Work on using values to define form. The critter's neck seems fairly rounded and solid compared to the head and plumes.
Fifth - Use sharp highlights, especially where the lightning emerges from the mouth. It will illuminate anything near it. The closer it is, the sharper the highlight. This also helps define form.
