check out this article http://www.smh.com.au/articles/2004/...088090949.html hoax or not that thing looks pretty freaking awesome. espically if it was made in the 1890s early 1900s. really cool.

Now THAT is cool. In addition to what they said it might also be pieced together from different animal parts. I heard somewhere that Darwin used to do that, and he made stuff that fooled some people into thinking it was real.
hehe, or maybe it was another guy. I can't remember.

:hmm: I want one. Look at the crazy detail in the wings and an UMBILICAL CHORD :hmm:. I want one.
I think its a haux and no body will ever believe them even if they claim its real. Sorta like aliens. I'd still want a pet dragon thought, so I'm hoping its real so they can clone them, and give one to me.
holy... it looks amazingly real
me wants one :/
Its surely a hoax, but a nice one and very very well prepared![]()
dragons are mamals now (umbilical cord) ??! where is the world going to...
never understimate the human genius/craft.
heh, that's pretty nifty...I agree with egerie about the whole mammal thing, but then again dragons are fantasy-based creatures so who knows if they are lizards or mammals or both? ...Maybe they really did exist back then and here is the proof, but we just don't want to believe it. Wouldn't that be freakin' cool?...And what if they could somehow, with modern technology, bring this little guy back to life and revive the dragon population?!?! YYYEEEAAAHH!!!!!![]()
What if that isn't a umbilical cord... you catch my drift?:hmm:
Cut it in half! Slices FOR ALL!!! Mmmmm Slicccesss...

Actually, I think that reptiles and birds have umbilical cords too. When they are in the egg the yolk is connected to them through an umbilical, but since they are in an egg, nobody can really see it.
Correct me if am wrong.

Yes, then we will eat Dragon viel! It will be GRAND!:chug:
yeah and besides - if mamals can lay eggs (platypus anyone?) then reptiles can give birth! so there! go dragons!
art is fun and addictive. like coffee. I like coffee too.
This amazing scientific breakthrough would've been disclosed earlier had it not been for bat-boy and the reanimated corpse of John F. Kennedy, who were busy keeping this under wraps along with the alien autospies and the photos of the face of satan in the 9-11 clouds.
Obvious fake, as the thing has a matted look to it that most sculpted special effects have, and that not even creature effects like the facehuggers in the "alien" movies could fully conceal. That, and the fact that the thing looks like someone said "hey, think I'll fake a bunch of people out with a constructed 'dragon' in a jar" and deliberately constructed an iconic (albeit anatomically plausible) dragon.
Now what remains to be seen is if the thing was made recently, or if it was made years ago. If it was made years ago, it's a significant find with regards to special effects-type stuff. If recently, it's still pretty neat, albeit contrived.

That dragon in a bottle is a hoax made by the Nazis during the second world war in an attempt to fool the British scientists at the time.
I think that this guy ended up finding it in his garage if my memory serves me correctly.
ya dai or you just read that in the story???

"An author who was so desperate to get his book published that he staged a hoax involving a baby dragon has won a lucrative publishing contract."
just thought you would like to know.
Cool. This reminds me of when the guy who used to run my local comic shop bought one of those alien foetus-in-a-jar.
He used tea to colour the 'fluid' in the jar, and one day when he was in the shop by himself the jar started to hiss slowly. It freaked him so much he never used tea to colour the water ever again! :p
