    Adam’s little corner

Hi I’m Adam, I am 31 and live in the UK. I really want to work on my 2D skills. Not happy with my work so far and a friend suggested this is the best place to learn!

Any crits or comments, feedback really appreciated.

I am going to start with a few old images,

Honestly, you're pretty good. Of course you can use some practice, but everyone needs practice so don't feel down. Right now, just keep drawing from observation as you did with the hand and cat studies. Perhaps you should go to the mall or the park and sketch out some people before you get into complex detail like anatomy and such. A good book to check out is Drawing Lessons from the Great Masters. Alright, man, good luck. You've got a never-ending adventure ahead of ya! PEACE!

    Hey!
You got some really cool designs. I like em. That mono-robot dude is awesome!
Try and do some digital painting from life to get a better understanding of how light affects form. And drop using the burn and dodge tool. It looks pretty unnatural. Also be sure to add some sharper edges. Now it all looks kinda blurry and pretty muddy. Anyway keep working on it! Good job so far!

yeh your pretty good indeed, and your basic knowledge of box-anatomy (like knowing how long a leg is, foreshortening ect) is good. i still dont know squat about anatomy!
with your photoshops, they r fantastic, but they feel like they are missing an hour or something. like some are a tad blurry but that can be super easily fixed with some love.
overall im impressed and i hope my crit helps a bit. im not good at critiques.
but uve done the right step and come to conceptart for motivation

Thank you Providence. I am trying to get an hour in a day at the moment with sketch work. I would really like to do some live art classes, but not much time with uni work,. If i had the time i would go for an anatomy course.

Thank you for the crits is really appreciated. I definitely need to work on my digital skills, but really want to get that foundation in hand drawn again first, I am badly out of practise. But when back into it i will spend more time finishing the work off.

Your work is very good. The Andrew Loomis studies are great, and i really like the pen drawn sea creatures,. So many unusual forms in sea creatures, especially in the deep!!! You have some great pen sketches of some unusual yet belivable characters and concepts
