crimson session 4 i believe.. anyways, here is just a persimmon fruit that i placed on top of a "wrinkled" white t-shirt. I don't really do still life studies, but I'm sure more study in this area would help me overall with color and perspective study.. here is the result!

Ahhhkay so here's mine. Not fantastic cause I'm still feeling kind of ill. Meh. I'm satisfied for now though, haven't done this in a while. Anyway, I am younger than the rest of you it seems, only fifteen... still so much to learn D:

Anyway, it was cool talking and painting with you guys, hope to see you all in however long when Dave gets here :3

Puppy piss paper, with a bell, a glass and a desert apple. It's hard to get hold of those apples, I wanted to paint one so bad but mum eats them all so quickly I never get the chance xD

This was dangerous amounts of fun.

so dangerous I took a loving hour for each step.

(And had my dunce moment of the morning when I wondered how hot the lamp I had was. but I didn't stop analyzeing and working since it wasn't my drawing hand that got burnt. and that's what counts to me. )

domo arigato - Yay! Finish ittt!

I tried to draw a bulb, red green shiny gift ribbon, an apple, a bottle opener and a coke glass from McDonalds. :'D

Unfortunately I took a shirt as pad and the folds were killing me. D:

Interesting works guys! I really admire how you guys picked the value first. It was pretty hard for me to capture value without capturing color.

Undeadartist- It might help to really take your time on the rendering. Right now your forms aren't as concise as they could be and I think it's because you did it in a relatively short amount of time. Locating that right colour is a delicate process.

    -cheers!

Wow there is a lot of good stuff here guys. I am really impressed with those images. Now we are into painting remember to work big to small. Start with the big forms and move down, also use the largest brush possible. Big brush, big forms. All of the little lines and details actually hurt the image if the tones aren't correct so it is a little scary but using a big fat brush without opacity is helpful in blocking in.

Well my computer crashed twice on my still-life so I took the hint and started blocking this in instead. I want to incorporate Chiaroscuro concepts into my paintings, just getting the right colours or lines is not enough. It is important to try new techniques and push your stuff beyond looking right. They should be interesting too I think and right now mine are not.

    This might take a while.

Still life! Might work on this more during the week, but I'm studying at Schoolism now also, so I've got to get as much art in as possible!

Worked from a photo, I know tsk tsk... But it's night in Norway and my apartment has zilch for "strong lighting". I chose an interesting composition and worked more on getting the forms right (I suck at man-made things) rather than getting the colours exact. Here's my ref if any care to crit.
