I need to double check the Loomis reference since there's a pretty big change in the length of the legs in the observation to imagination drawings. Also my imagination studies were very narrow / pinched. Maybe I was nervous ! hah

    Thanks for the inspiration, Dave!

Okay, so I fucked up today.. first of all I found out left my sketchbook at my girlfriend so I had to do it all on the only paper I could find, which turns out to be filled with squares...
and the reason the picture looks so messed up is that i dont have a scanner so i took the picture with my phones cam.
Anyways, the first one is while looking at loomis and the second one is from my mind

and thanks for the session today, it was great, really nice to actually study with someone 8)

Y'all are seriously fucked up... I LOVE IT!!!!

Too bad that I can't make it to these sessions or I'd be right there with ya. Luckily I have enough motivation to do these studies on my own, so I suppose I'm there in spirit.

Oh, and Dave, 2 gigantic thumbs up for kicking everyone in the ass (including yourself, heehee)!

peter_john: Those look great man. Yeah, yours turned out long and narrow. Mine are wide and short, and they're real hippy. Hey checked out your website. You've got some awesome work. Very creative!

Working on some more studies, but I think I'm spending too much time on each one. Gotta limit myself. And stop looking at this thread (too cool, but must stop).

Missed the inaugural livestream, but watched it on playback and played along. Thanks Dave for the kick in the ass. Sad that I've had this Loomis book for years now-- picked it up at a book sale for a couple bucks (!!!)-- and I've never done hardcore studies from it.

Here's my sketches- I didn't finish the one from page 19 cause I had art class. I thought there'd be plenty of time to sketch but I only managed to finish the mannikin frame, as there was actually a lot of work to be done there.
Got home, and started working on the next one from memory, but didn't finish that either cause I had music class. Thursday is my busiest day D: But I didn't want to not post and then have everyone thinking I didn't bother. I will not be a loser.

Crappy photos taken with my camera in dim lighting. Tomorrow, I think I will work digitally... -.-

Time zones confuse the shit out of me. By my calculation the next one would start right about NOW. but there isn't anything.. further calculations make it seem like 0900AM EST = 15:00 GMT-1 (in case some of my fellow timezoners are wondering..) But then again, i managed to be 8 hours late/13 hours early today, so don't bet too much on my calculations being correct.

I'll be there tomorrow FO SHO!

xinos: Great job! I'm going to be doing the rest of the angels tonight, or tomorrow.

    deadrok: Nice work man!

I spent some more time just trying to get that front view manikin like nuts on. Feel like I spent more time than was needed, but I'm fairly happy with the results. I created some proportion division lines and went to work. The first 2 studies were from referencing the Loomis PDF. The green manikin in the middle I pulled from the Loomis PDF and laid it on my division lines to see what all I f'd up on. Once I had the Loomis Manikin in my file, I referenced strait from it using my proportion division lines for the 3rd study. Which I'm fairly happy with. Then the 4th study I did from memory, not using reference, but still had my division lines visible. Now more studying, or drinking, no studying. Well I'm suppose to meet up with an old friend, so maybe a bit of both. Is that ok boss (Dave)? Either way see you studs in the morning. Crimson Daggers rock!

Nice SB! Nice Studies.........to improve even faster or better I suggest you to forget about rendering and focus entirely on structure, that is actually working for me.

Hey guys, how long are the sessions? I've only got 25gb bandwidth per month and streaming media can take up a lot.

Would love to join in. Sadly, Internet companies can be retarded.
