Hi Ivan, you've got some wonderful sketches. I liked seeing your realistic character work grow more confident by each stroke, and your cartoon characters are adorable!

Looks much better now Ivan, i noticed that you start rendering your hair with a very small brush almost trying to paint every hair. I suggest you blockin the hair with big blobs forst and then add the tiny hairs. Cheers man, dont stop!

Good work! that girl portrait is going in the righht direction. Try to smooth the skin, those little brushstrokes on the face, back and arms are a bit annoying.

Also, the ear piercings may be a bit small.

Anyway, it's looking good. Keep at it!

kingkostas ~ yeah, learned a lot so far, and still have miles and miles ahead

PurpleHillFish ~ thank you. I'm glad you started with regular updates on your sketchbook. Keep it going!

Aerendyl ~ I'm not happy with my work, want to get it much much better. But I'm always glad to inspire you. Just keep working hard

Fetsch ~ Thank you. Yeah, you helped me a lot. And I'm very thankful for that. Stay cool!

Abrodos ~ Thank you for your constructive input. I will work more on skin texture, it just has to be right! Cheers!

Didn't work on girl portrait today. Instead I did this sketch, using a thumbnail I did while painting previous image (yes, that lovely girl ). Tomorrow will get back to her.
What we have here is a city inspired by Gothic cathedrals. But it also have these futuristic elements and flying ships all around. I've chosen this perspective and composition to make it feel even more massive. It will turn out great in the end. Any input is more then welcome! Thanks in advance

Keep banging them out dude! That tattoo'd girl looks really good and like kostas said it seems like you learned a lot doing it. On the latest speed racer looking enviro, I feel if the ship was more in tune with the walls perspective point it would strengthen the piece a bit. Keep being awesome man!

love the tree piece, particularly the details around the eyes, creates a nice focus on the tree. perhaps some darker values in the areas surrounding the tree to create even more drama and focus on the tree/person? nice work!

Hey Ivane, the city entrance looks cool, I like it so much, interesting angle. Now, to be honest I think you should've not add those aircrafts, but instead, use that space for something else, I don't know, a canal in front, the bridge, or perhaps some path, a runway, etc. But hey, thats jus't me!

Lookin good man, the tree looks great! I like the action scene too, the angle is perfect, though I think it could do with even more motion blur to really get that sense of speed. I guess that can be done last though Keep it up!

duuuude that tree image is soo rad so far! You already know this. But hey heres why I really like it - the centered composition which is often awkward gives it immense presence in the picture. The use of clarity and texture really separate it nicely from the foreground.

Experiment with adding brighter light on the grass straight left of your figure, and I think he will come alive a bit more, as well as balance the left of the composition a tiny bit. Not sure how it will look but its my first thought at trying to help on this one

Flying scene - I find that how the foreground machine is JUST clipping the edge of the frame awkward. Move him into the picture a bit to the right, and enhance his silhouette a bit. Its super super simple, so I'd be tempted to add some flaps, or tiny wings or fins etc.

The composition could affect the story a bit more about its functionality - showing vehicles enter or exit the door at the bottom would show its purpose, same as trying to guide us exactly where this group of vehicles are flying (over the wall, into the door, past the entrance? just my ideas)

MyioDeSopsia ~ thank you for stopping by. They both still need a lot of work and experimentation

    morsky ~ thx!

Metal Fingers ~ Thanks man! Yeah, much appreciated your advice. Will work it out, that's for sure.

    Braintree ~ thank you!

LisandroG ~ I worked it out a bit, what do you think now? and thx

    Nenad ~ hvala ti druže!

AlexTooth ~ more blur is on the way! thank you!

Jakers ~ thank you man! That's what I needed to hear. Much appreciated your constructive comment. Yes, there is definitely need for interaction between city walls and ships... was thinking about some laser checking each ship (or something...). Will work it out.

iven ~ hi Iven! Thank you dude

Lav ~ thank you lady, I'm glad to see you here. Yes, still few months left to graduate. Cheers!

Interesting piece mate.I am not sure if adding the weight with the close up spaceship works. Also the colors seem a little dull but there is that nice perspective and the building that gives nice depth.
    I love the tree

    The tree turned out great

The flying scene - it feels like a crop of a bigger picture, right now. You need more empty space to show off just how massive the cathedral is. The ship in the front is poking my eyes, so to speak, taking up too much space... you know when you really want to see something, but something big is obscuring your view? It feels like that. Let the picture breathe, give it more space.

Great work on the tree bark, and the focal point as a whole. Maybe use a little more silhouette and simple shapes for the atmospheric but not so vital elements like the leaves and branches nearest the viewer? It's a touch distracting at the moment. Also the branch lying diagonally across the image is making my eye shoot off the page to the right - maybe take it out or change the angle? Or play with some subtle vertical branches as stops? Nice work you're producing

I think that the tree would be much better without this big branch at the start and the squirrel.
