    Anatomy Critique?

So this was just a warmup sketch, but I want to take it further now. I'm looking for some input on the anatomy since animals are not my forte. Keep in mind I'm obviously heavily elongating the torso and neck.

I should mention she's a giraffe/centaur. Lol people have been missing that.

    Here you go:

Instead of going for realism I tried sticking to your style a bit (with the elongated/exaggerated limbs) but keeping the anatomy correct .

Isn't she supposed to be half giraffe? I much prefer her with the sloping back and shorter rear legs. (Not wishing to dispute Lhune's redline, but I'm not sure we're talking about the same animal? )

Ahh my apologies, I mistook her for a deer. Giraffe it is then.

Just to make sure that it's clear what I did; the legs need to be quite a bit longer. It's partially why I didn't read your initial sketch as a giraffe. Also, the downward back slope is more of a curve than a straight line. Giraffes have rather bulky bodies. Pretty interesting idea by the way, a giraffetaur. I just noticed the little horns on her head . I guess had I looked at it longer, I would've realised it wasn't a deer. My apologies again .

I think she also has a nice long giraffe tongue hehe.

I really like the idea - glad you're gonna take it further

Thanks all of you! And hey Lhune, even your deer redlines help, since I don't know how to draw those either. lol.
But really those lines are great, thanks. I don't have the opportunity to get over to the zoo for first hand ref, so I figured you guys and photos were my best bet. Don't worry about mistaking it, it's still pretty rough.
