TFSean - Thx's for the nice crit, will keep practicing! =)
Kimozabbi - Lull.. thx's =)
Zou - Np, is qwl =) Thx's *bro hug* =)
Great 3d stuff, the renders on some of those are beautiful. Your drawing is coming on in leaps and bounds too - proportions, selective drawing and wrapping your strokes really well. Post more please!
The old shamans are sipping their coffees as they
admire your 3D mayhem. Nick Nolte changed his water
heater's max temperature from low to high as he went
through you mind. Some of them doubted in your abilities,
but not me. Me never. I knew it right from the start that
you will shine. These last misty dark renderings are so
amazing, they have enabled my subconscious mind to
work hard. You could dis-convert and prevent a thousand
house mid-winter carrots to perform a mass suicide.
Wunderkind is becoming out of your presence.
You should never stop sharpening the rusty Indian knife.
Really impressed by your 3d work buddy! keep working hard!![]()
I love these peeps.
Heey guys! =)
Been sculpting rock-like stuff most of the week, is so much fun =) Also done some drawing, mostly proportion studies, will post them up if you guys really want to see =) Thank you for the comments and crits guys, I really appreciate the feedback, gonna improve onit! =) See you guys again soon =)
hi,
thought i need to post a comment in here.
Finally something familiar in 3D to me. xD
I have tried to retexture a few items once in the Oblivion Construction set. I found it very interesting although it took me some hours of frustration to get into the process.
keep up the great 3D work and also i'm happy everytime I see new sketches here.![]()
that creature sketch with the jaws is real nice! I also like the atmosphere shown in the 3d work. I'm still all for traditional, so I can't fully relate to 3d stuff right now, (and I'm not too concerned about that really, with all the "advancement" going on in the industry right now). You know me, equip with a vast trad technical understanding before transforming in the 3d realm. That's just my philosophy. Programs change, traditional tools don't!
but that's just my talk! never-mind dat! KEEP GOING MAN!

Heey Guys! =)
Shew.. got 6 weeks left until graduation, yeeeeeaaaah, can't wait! =)
Been working on the Undersea, will show you guys soon the finish =) Had my final presentation at university as well,
was pretty cool that people liked my stuff there.. but I still can't be complacent, still lots of work to do =) Cheers Guys =)
Lux Aeturna - Oh hey Stells! =) I didn't know you were on here too.. =) What a surprise! =)
Poetryman - Hey man =) Ah that's qwl.. well I'm pretty okay with using anything really, I enjoy both now =) Cheers for the support man =)
That last study of the girl's face is looking great. Can really see the progress in your work Ed. Keep it up and good luck on the graduation!
Great study of the face. Look out for the lower jaw, though, it looks carved out. It's there on some of your other faces too.
But overall, your pencil work is truly improving at a rapid rate. Tell me, is the 3D work contributing to it?
Also, I'll be graduating at around the same time, too. I'm doing History Honours, what about you?
Hey, I like the painted face, especialy the hair looks great
regarding the pencil, maybe you should try to add there more contrast, e.g. black hair or background...
You are handling the values just like Schumacher
handled his first childhood elevated semi conducted vehicle.
You are doing great and you are getting stronger.
Maybe her hair is looking a bit pasted on, cause of the
lack of shadow underneath.
Yoho! =)
Okay so it's Easter, got 3 weeks now until we start back again =) Nearly finished lighting on Undersea =)
Also gotta work on my last uni project, maybe a monster/gun/super chick or some shit =)
Here's some leaked Doom 4 screenies if you interested..
God I love that game =) Looking forward to Diablo 3 as well.. and guess what, it comes out on my birthday, WAAAAA! =)
Veshkau - Sweet man, appreciate that, Cheers Steve! =)
Vritra - Aww man thx's =) Yip, 3d helps loads, it's only half the story though, knowing about lighting and shadow is just as important imho.
Haha, epic man, do you mind if I ask, what you thinking of doing after uni?
I'm doing Game Art and Animation, took animation for my first year, and that helped loads too =) Doing 3d art mostly now =)Still have a lot to learn tho,
tonnes of stuff I just don't know... =) Have a good weekend man =)
jablar - Sweet man, thx's a bunch =) Sure I'll work on abit more contrast there =) Thank you for the feedback =)
LtPlissken - Haha, thank you for the compliment man, Schumacher is a master though, I'm just a welp! =) Sure, will work on better shadow,
in this case the shadow would be very much to the left, I decided to leave it out a bit as it was distracting.. but I appreciate your feedback and
will improve on it in future pieces =)
Heey! =)
Woke up this morning and worked on saturations, have a bad habit for not keeping them under control...
About 60-ish% done with the lighting, still a bunch of stuff wrong tho, slowly running out of time, suggestions most welcome... =)
Cheers Guys! =)
Hi matey
I love a good wander through your book mate Its always interesting, The girls look great but I would have preferred them down the page rather than across the page because I'm lazy and hate scrolling around.
The underwater stuff is high class man pure and simple, the drop off for the light is spot on too I rather liked that.
good work matey I'm glad I dropped by

Heyo mr Kung to the Foo to the Wizzzah!
Nice updates, good to see you studying and stuff
Enviro's look interesting, perhaps a bit dark? Can't make out too much what's going on!
Keep it uppp
Hey, mate. Could have swarn I've looked through your sketchbook a way while ago. I'm pretty impressed at how much you've progressed since then, especially with your faces and pencil work.
Oh! And I'm liking your 3D environment things, I haven't the slightest idea about those sorts of areas so they easily impress me. Either way, keep up the good work, mate.![]()
I got a feeling that the female portrait in #1446 is
missing a bit of the top of her head, or the hair
is just a bit badly positioned? But as I said earlier,
you are getting better and better with values.
Undersea project is going nicely, I like the feeling
of the dark and murky deep sea. Maybe a bit too
dark and blurry as someone said above, but
generally it's pretty sweet. Right now I think
that you are way ahead in your 3D aspect
than in your 2D drawings and paintings.
Heey =)
Jus some cheap figures tonight, cuz I don't know how to draw figures :0
Happy Easter Guys =)
Lightship69 - Ah okay cool, I'll put them going down the page in future, not a prob =) Cheers for the compliment =)
AlexTooth - Haha, that rhymes! =) *high 5!* =) Thank you for the feedback Alex, will look at brightening the area more =) Cheers for that =)
Naidy - Thank you for the compliments =)
Lt Plissken - Yip that head study was giving me trouble, couldn't figure out how to draw the forehead. 2d takes abit more patience =) Thank you for the feedback =)
Heey =)
Sad news, Thomas Kinkade passed away today =( Did a study in his honour =) Keep well guys =)

Hey man, thx's =) Recently found out I got a 2:1 for my uni dissertation, 68%... not sure what to think about that. Here's some sketches instead =) Cheers =)
are u doing writing and this kind of stuff in 3D ?
the pencil of the this last portrait is very nice, is it finished. (coz i would go further with the rendering)
for the poses, you line quality is good as always, but try more relaxing them. wor'k more the articulation between hips and legs and shoulders and arms.(try to do some anaotmy on those spots)
don't forget to begin your poses with gesture.
cheers
Aw its ok bud you dont have to pander to my lazy ass!! do what you want I will still look anyway!
A very happy easter to you too.
and all the best wishes to you and yours matey

Great progress overall my friend! Especially the value studies. The sense of structure in your drawings is also improving. Keep it up bro.
I like the initial sketch from the last work
keep going

Hello!
The painting aspect is getting a lot better. The cat painting was really nice, big step forward there.
There's still quite noticeable drawing errors underneath all that new painting knowledge that I would suggest that you work on.
Doin' good. Keep it up!
Hi man, how you doing? that undersea scene looks amazing, definitely believable. Maybe I would add a bit more light to it. Studies are getting much better specially with value work and bodies. Heads are still a bit off though, just keep practicing.![]()
take care!
