That's one ripped Pegasus. It might be my me, but I thought horses had leaner upper body. I like the tail feather rather then the horse's tail. it would make it easier to fly around.

"Another commission! Hardly get around to practice nowadays x_x"
Think of it this way commission are practice of sorts.

Depends on the horse, some really are quite muscular and when in movement they will show more. I did exaggerate it a little bit because I wanted the creature to look powerful . Thanks! And yeah I treat them as practice but my commissions tend to be things I'm already strong at, while I'd like to practice on things I'm poor at, heh.

An environment doodle, based on a soundtrack. I'd like to take this a bit further, not sure how I'm going to do it but we'll see .

Hey, thanks! Finished up the above image, I couldn't think of anything to add to it. I removed the tentacles because I didn't think they added much and I like the simplicity of the piece without them.

Your welcome ! Also, The centaur is neat. I like the combine of the anatomy, Between Human and horse. You definitely did it in a original way, vs the typical Centaurs I've seen. So far though I haven't spotted anything to crit.

Thanks Vayne! Crit away if you do spot something odd . Speaking of odd, this next one is a humanoid mouse character portrait that I was commissioned for. It took a lot to make her pretty as opposed to creepy (and I suppose she's still kind of creepy) but it was good portrait practice and I'm actually fairly satisfied with the result. Apart from the hair, I need to work on how I do hair.

Do you think you overcomplicated the hair?

Some of the general critiques on hair is that the artist overworks the hair either by doing individual strands, or the artist blocks it in well, but focusing too much on the strands again.

I like how the hair flows down and overlaps the collar, and the eyes complement the nose, cheekbones, and mouth, and overall mousey feel to the character.
It also reminds me of a video game character which I can't recall at the moment.

I don't think I was overcomplicating it; it's not the detail that bothers me, it's the flow/direction of it. Thanks though!

Some more work. The full color bear/man illustration was done for S2Games (more to come for them).

More work. So little time for practice (though I suppose with the work piling up I'll get plenty of practice as I go)!

Last illustration is for a school project; we're working on a game that will motivate kids to go outside again by making them do quests in the "real world", whilst making use of the stuff they love so much (apps, computer games, etc).

Hey Nicky, thanks! I'm 22, still have one year to go in school then I'm done . I spent 7 years in secondary school though (longest possible in the Netherlands, our system is a little different), stopped one year to work and then started doing Game Art so I AM a little late with my education, to my regret. I would much prefer to just work right now but if I don't finish my education I'll have no papers plus a pretty big loan, haha.

Xolotl is not a school project by the way, it's a side project I'm doing with a friend in Canada .
