You're probably the only person I've ever seen in melbourne even remotely working hard hahahah. Cool man where in melb are you from? I'm from the eastern suburbs (lilydale area, etc.) Also as advice I think you should force yourself to do something from imagination for every study you do, an eye for an eye if you will. You can't keep telling yourself to do it and not because of fear of the result, you need to get thousands of shit imagination drawings out until you can do anything cool man Also studying anatomy standalone is practically a waste of time, no good artists I know study anatomy this way. Draw out a bunch of gestures and put the anatomy on the figures so you have some straight practical application Hope that helps man! Keep goin!

Cyprinus thanks haha I'll probably redo that guy and fix him, because all the tendrils and junk were really fun. I think the lightbulb took a bit under 2 hours. the first time I tried to paint glass it took like 50 hours D:

neovirtu wow thanks for the feedback! yeah I'll definitely look into those designs and styles! I think this week I really wanna start doing some design stuff. ummm the way I paint is changing a lot right now, I'm actually trying really hard to get away from that smooth rendering haha. but for most of the stuff in here I just use a hard round brush with opacity and flow set to pen pressure, and flow set to between 60-100%? sometimes I adjust hardness on the fly with hotkeys, but I usually forget to.

this is laate because my computer kept crashing last night and making me cry. sorry for the pretty small update D:. I had work yesterday and when I got home I crashed super hard and slept for hours. I need to start looking after my health. and sleeping, and eating real food. I can feel myself getting sick again and I know if I do I'll totally deserve it haha

wooo gosh D : you're doin great brah, those hand studies are super nicce and that last paint is mmm goood. The bottle is painted nice but I think the shape might be a little off, a perspective issue. Maybe you kept sitting up or slouching down, that might've caused that perspective distortion thats happening right now. Anyways just look out for it in later studies, its not a huuge deal.
