Woah, those are some nasty monsters! (I mean that in the best possible way haha)
The girl and the dinosaur picture is especially cute, you seem to be pretty comfortable with creatures.. I can't think of anything to crit right now, so just a few asspats.
Keep it going!
yes, I really enjoy making mean monsters, its fun hehe
it was a great exercise drawing kaya and her crazy dino, its so different from what I usually do.
thanks!
thanks man
the last one is nice! keep it up!
thanks, I will!
I just made a little study, while I was painting this I realized it was my first color study from life ever lol, digital or traditional.
painting it was chaotic, didnt even know how to start, at first choosing the colors was the main problem an later more technical stuff about using photoshop to do certain things and achieve certain effects became the biggest trouble, I have no idea how to make sharp edges for example.
now I know I should have made some things in different layers (its all in 1) like making the wood table and then the shadow on another layer.. I think, damn theres some much I dont understand.
overall it doesnt look too good, I didnt nail the colors and I lost the shape a bit but it was fun and very instructive making it and now I know I have to make many more. What do you think?
Good stuff happening in here. I really like that last monster!
Oh, and congrats on your first life painting ever! Thats what its about. You seem to understand color fairly well-they seem pretty deliberate and clean. Not all weak and muddy. Way to go. These will really help you out. Make sure you focus on the drawing aspect of it too. The ellipses at the top and bottom of the glass is pretty off. Easy fix though, just keep drawing and it will come.
You got it. Ima watch this one![]()

Really nice still life, and the monsters expression is already great! more please.
These are really great. Loved the picture of the kid carrying the Dinosaur, since its both well drawn and humorous, which is always a good combination.
Sirkenneth: thanks a lot for the motivation and advise! you are right the bottomk of the glass looks odd. tomorrow more
Braintree: thanks mate, more soon!
Fiddzy: thanks! I always draw dark angry monsters lol and I was afraid i could not make something like that, Im glad you noticed what I was trying to do.
just a quick sketch before bed, i´d love to colour it because the photograph is awesome. Daniel Day Lewis on Gangs of New York

Are you using photoshop? I love the brushes you use, I want that style! =]
Do you mind telling me some settings or even sending me just one, or whatever, over by private message? That'd be cooler than cool.
Nice work!
I love the first monster's expressionThe colors on the glass study look so vibrant, too.
RyanH: yes I use photoshop, I'm still a newbie ,theres nothing special in what I do I just use a default hard round brush with "other dynamics" set to pen pressure and nothing more reallythanks!
AestheticMachine: thanks man! I like your stuff, the bull-taur is great and the last dsg is so funny specially the monster with the hanging eyes![]()

zimfin:thanks for the support it really means a lot! I will keep posting them, at least those that are not too ugly hehe, your last dsg was great btw!
strybjorn:thanks man I'm really glad u like them! I know, the chin looks weird but its the gesture he has on the pic, maybe when its colored it will be easier to understand.
Sublimusthanks a lot! lol indeed, I will give it a try and colour it!
Mischeviouslittleelf:thanks you, I will try to finish it!
thanks all for the cool comments!
ok, here's a study i have done today in the same vein as the glass one, I still struggle choosing colors but I can feel these are helping a lot.
even though I use a hard brush my images tend to end up looking too smooth, in this case I added a filter at the end to get some crispness, do you guys do that kind of things?
