Cojac: Thank you you're very kind to say so

NicponimskY: I see what you mean. Noticed with your work the highlights don't blow out as much and it works really well. Hmmm

Metal Fingers: Cheers dude! Big fan so much appreciated!

Parsakoira: Hey dude long time no speakie! Good to have you back and thanks

Looking good GEB, albeit the latest looks a bit like the demon is shying away from the hero (given the relaxed pose of the hero and how the demon is hiding/protecting himself with the arm) - even if I kind of like that if that isn't the idea I'd wash out for it

Yeah I'm yet to sort out the hero. I'm thinking of doing a slightly overhead view so it looks like the demon us bursting up from the depths. Busy again now though so my own work will have to take back seat again

I usually like high contrast but maybe you should try to use less black and make it less "binary" by incorporating different shades of gray. It gives the image more depth making it look less flat and comic-like.
    Hope that helps!

Hello again! Love seeing the iterations on a piece. Please keep doing that, haha. It's helpful for some of us beginners to see.

As far as the recent comments on your use of blacks... I really feel that is a stylistic preference. I never felt like any of your pieces were necessarily weakened because of your use of blacks. My impression is that they're placed in a way that leads the eye from unimportant detail to what you want the user to actually pay attention to.

    My two cents, anyways!

Ooh! Busted back down to 4 *s! I'm pretty happy with that to be honest there are far to many stratosperic artistists on here to me awarding the likes of me a hefty 5 *s

Xelar: Yeah I know what you're getting at there. Unfortunately will be a while before I get back to that one but I think I know where I want to take it. Which for me is half the battle!

PeopleEveryday: Cheers babe! You're way too kind

the rim lighting on the last skull demon, hell all the lighting, its boss! I like the separation you have with your tones in the tarzan piece. It really assists the scene and its story. wonderful as always friend. keep it up.

    sick sick sick sick.
I am nit picking here, the right torso(the demon's left side with the shoulder armor.) seems a bit vertical(?) like you have this wonderful dark area to play with. I think you can exaggerate the rib cage slightly to add one more angle/depth in that area of the painting.

I still am blown away by how you go from grey scale to color. It is dark magic as far as i am concerned.

    keep up the awesome friend.
