I see your point, but this is meant to be a fat, flightless, dragon who lives in the swamp. But thanks for your comments I appreciate them. Got a bit on time on my hands to give the fatty some love. Starting to balance stuff out now
Part of my is a little gutted to be relegated to four stars, but the bigger part of me is glad as there are so many artists on here that are beyond me at the moment and I think I need to rise to the challenge! Much love G
I'm gunna call it a day on this as I'm far too drunk to do anything other that f@ck it right now. Crits always appreciated
A bit more, I think it's pretty close to done
Crits pleeeeeeaaaase! I'm happier with the colours now and the general composition
Hey GEB you did great with the fat dragon! a powerful image no doubt.
As i see it, the best of it is the lighting and the dragon itself. The mood and ambient is really well achieved. I like the wings, they supose to be atrophied and weak, so they became almost rotten in its own back, nice , those horns rock!
my crits, the (fat) volume isn´t enough achieved in the lower part of the back and the hind legs, and the right horn (the right one we see in the image) maybe needs to show up a bit more, given the head perspective. If i have to be a little picky, the horse´s body needs to be longer and maybe it would be a bit more nervous!
other than that, nice work again!
Sorted some of those issues and I think it's getting there
Revisiting an older sketch. I plan to have a guy in the foreground slogging away against the wind
5 stars! Merry christmas! *****
MY DAILY SKETCHES
If you can read this, I gave you 5 stars
been a while since i saw your new amazing stuffs nothing to say but updates are freaking good again and great lighting on your works i must say.keep it going=)
Awesome artist and friends
Hello GEB! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you! ^___^
I like the dragon piece and how you placed some rusty color on his wings, this really brought life in the fat guy! But if I've been drawing this picture, I'd change his fingers\claws because they're so funny and cute :3 but if that's the effect you've been trying to achieve, I'd better shut up and go away.
I like how you can get a sketchy but finished felling with a few strokes.
Awe thanks guys! I'm a big fan of all your work so this mean a lot. Found a old one a fancied bringing forward
LOL I thought exactly the same!Seems like the fat dragon with some weight loss!
The fat dragon is very cute and it doesn't seem to cause any harm. And thank you cery much for answering to my question! That's amazing how much could you achieve in illustration during past 3 years. You draw finished illustrations with plot in each one, not simply "character without background". Keep up your work!
You have epicness in all your work. Kinda made me notice what I forgot to do with all this studying.
Cheers man. Keep up the good work.
Scetchbook: View the exhibitionist's stuff.
love your sketchbook
I have seen a big part of it before, and I see now that I have missed allot of new works since my last visit
all your illustrations are awesome, I wish I had some of your skills
I will definitively visit more often
Thanks guys your kind words and encouragement mean a lot especially you Ricardo and asa. You guys rock! Got dumped on new years day so niceness is extra apreciated!
Anywho enough of that soppy stuff. I don't do any exercises and if I want to get better I need to. New year, new start! Here's a study of a famous pic, gave myself just under two hours.
You have a great sense of vision that is really developing nicely. Totally subscribing.
Can't wait to see what other epic piece you make next
Another quicky of a pic from google. Gave myself an hour for this one
By the way I'm doing these without the colour picker as I'm trying to improve my colour relations
