Uche's weekly batman redesigns: Harley Quinn update 09/10/09

Hi everyone, My name is Uche, been checking the forums for a while now and I thought I'd get serious and start contributing.

I'm redesigning some batman characters just for the hell of it. Its been done to death but I thought I'd share them anyway.

These are the first four, the plan is to do all of the well known characters from the batman universe and update the thread as I finish a piece.

The Joker



Poison Ivy



The Riddler



Mr. Freeze



I know these aren't full body designs and the next ones probably will be, but I wanted to tackle just the faces to begin with.

Let me know what you think and if you like it keep an eye on this thread as I'll try to update it weekly. Currently working on Harley Quinn

Very nice! I like how you've focused on just the face and how you've carried that theme through all the pictures - Very Nice indeed!

My only crit is that Posin Ivy looks a more like Cortana from Halo ^^;; need some more leaves and planty stuff in there

@Gail_Blitzy You're right now that you mention it she does resemble Cortana in a way, but Cortana is cool so I don't mind all to much

At some point I did have her covered in leaves and flowers but then I decided to make HER the poisoned plant. But for recognizabilities sake I think I might add them back in again.

Of course I have to do batman himself. I'm saving him and Robin for last though. I'm close to completing Harley Quinn but she's kicking my butt

Next up: Two Face

I really like where these are going, especially Harley Quinn. I would say keep going in the direction you went with her. It's hard on a few of the designs to see that you made a noticeable change from the originals. Specifically the Joker and Riddler. Which isnt to say that you didn't come up with new designs its just hard to tell with the way the images are cropped and then the very deep shadows on the Joker. Without anything below the chest it leaves alot to the imagination. Harely Quinn you can see more of her head and some of her costume and theres alot of redesign there visible. If ever possible I'd like to see full body shots of these redesigns but as is really great series so far.
