    Undeadartist Rising from the grave!

    NEWEST WORK ON LAST PAGE

This is my sketchbook for Ca.org I have 2 others at cghub and at the crimsondaggers website, also a deviant acct and a facebook feel free to check them out! Add me on facebook if you like. This was my first sketchbook and after awhile I pretty much left it too die but I decided to breath life into this old sketch book of mine and now I will be posting more here than I have.. So please stop by leave a crit leave a comment! Feel free to destroy my artwork I can take it.

    OLD PICTURE

This was my first painting I did a LOOOOOONG time ago no tablet all with mouse and no idea of what I was doing. I leave this as a reminder of where I came from and to remember what it was like the first time I finished a painting and the feeling of accomplishment.

Hey Undeadartist, cool joker painting you did there.
Your character design arn't bad,but you have work on your anatomy (much like me.)
Aswell as other fundamentals like proportions, values ect.
I'd say posemaniacs.com is a very nice recource for doing quick gesture drawings.
You might want to change the timer from 30 seconds to 90 seconds instead.
Then try 60 when you have done heaps and so on.
Doing lifedrawings and still lifes is also a good way to improve.
    keep on rollin!

90 sec posemaniac and foot study

stuff is cut off cause sketch book is to big for scanner by just a hair and lack of shading is accounted for laziness and using a mechanical pencil as my excuse : P

You're doing it fine, just one issue proportion and anatomy can be improved by improving a firm basic structure, and then adding the details.

Hi. One tip i could give you is try making some 30 second drawings. Take a photo or a live model and try to draw it in 30 seconds, it really helps on proportions and concentrating only on the important things.

Nice work so far. I would suggest that you get a good Loomis or Bridgeman anatomy book and start working on muscle structure along with your poses. That will help you with anatomy and selling the realism you are trying to draw on your humans and other creatures. Tons of creativity here so keep it up!

cool sketchbook. I like your anatomy not being realistic. You can always improve your anatomy to be as real looking as you want but sometimes real is boring just make sure you remember how your doing your anatomy now so you can draw like that way later.

Hey there mate! Sketchbook coming along nicely.

Here is the link to some Andrew Loomis anatomy books, if you still don´t have the money for that one you´ve seen. Great stuff, this will really push you forward. Others can be found on the net as well, for free. Enjoy!
