There is no way to question the life you have, unless you question it.

You have beautiful work - with your sketches, I love the way you apply scant paint to the canvas and each stroke is so purposeful that, with barely anything, all the personality and the most important detail comes through. Just beautiful!!

This is great. I love how you leave what is not important. This thread shall be a big lesson for everyone. Thank you for sharing, I will be happy to come back.
Love those last ones, if I could ask you a question regarding your process?
Using the progression pics of the woman, what was the time frame between each? Just curious how long you let things dry, I'm still experimenting with oils myself.
One other thing, if you ever get the urge to film yourself painting that would be such a great tool, I know it's a lot to ask but I'm sure many of us could learn so much!
merl1n- Thank you!
samoscratch- Thanks for the comment. For my process I like to work wet into wet. I like the look of brush strokes merging with each other and the beautiful effects that can be created. If your just starting out with oils I recommend to avoid thinning your paint to much. You'll find that painting without any mediums when your blocking in a painting, will give you much better control over the paint. You can always thin the paint more as you gain more confidence with the oils. But I've found using the paint the consistency it comes out of the tube in the early stages of a painting works best for me. I hope that helps.
Best of luck with your work!
I did this painting of my friends son as a Christmas gift for his wife. Hopefully she likes it.
Thanks for the support everyone. And happy holidays!
