Wow so much work you put my sketchbook habits to shame! I like the last air elemental lady, she certainly has a large pair of personalities. I think with post #2311 I actually like the one with the line drawing more, I kind of like the cooler temperature as well. Keep it up brother!

mate i like the idea you have for this chow. Although he feels very relaxed for the situation he is in. Maybe a "whoa" body language could help, but thats mood related and its personal taste so i am just sharing my opinion hahah. Lets keep up mate

kevin_ - thanks man! yea im trying to switch up the stuff ive been doing lately! thanks!!

Biomecha_wolf - ha thanks man! im not very good at women, but im trying ..

kingkostas - hey man, thanks for stopping by! i started the sketch thinking about distorting his body so much that i didnt really consider his body language, but i think your right, at this point he is beginning to become more accustomed to the new transition, but i think he should still show a bit more expression, thanks man!

    ---------------

EOW update - the long journey ahead.... still trying to figure out how i can improve this one, any input is highly appreciated! i am very open to paintovers and ideas!

    Hello mate
Here a paintover. Keep up pushing

(can also be done with the mountains in the backG but make sure everything you do leads the eye where you want it to go)

[edit: hey now i saw a big object structure in the far background, that will ba an interesting point of interest, make good use of it. Maybe you will need to show more sky but anything is possible, try to think you are there and play with scales and stuff]

kingkostas - damn, awesome! thanks a ton Kostas!! really really appreciate it man! i was actually thinking i was gonna squeeze it down into a longer 3x5x1 ratio or something similar, and yea it does look much better that way! i also like the idea of raising the horizon, it does give it more depth to the land itself, shows more... but seriously thanks man!

You really improved since the last time i've watched ur stuff! What makes some of ur work looks somehow messy is the linework that shines through i know its just a sketch but u could just lower the opacity of the lines so its not pure black or color them.
Anyways cool designs, storytelling etc. etc. theres a lot positive things about your work to point out !

    Denzel - thank you dude!

Lakai - thanks!! i know dude ha, those damn lines bug me even more than you.. ive been trying out different methods of painting a lot lately, starting from block ins, starting from lines, dropping the opacity of the lines ad paintng over them, locking the pixels on the line layer and painting them... still havent found one that i really like, and one that achieves the look i want... but i assure you, i have been desperately searching for a good answer to this, hopefully one day...

    ---------------------

so heres an update on the EOW, and an assortment of other crap i havent posted yet... enjoy!

Yeah! Ripclaw & Blockhead!!! Ha ha, these are great. And that's a pretty serious post. You're getting some really nice colors in these things lately. And some quite attractive rendering stuff on that Chinese finger trap tree in the landscape. Gold's Gym dude is one of the ugliest things I've ever seen. I mean, his leg is on backwards! Aauugh!

    Keep it up!

Hey nicky, been a while since I've perused your sketchbook. So much energy in your sketches! that's good! your coloured pieces look good too. I especially like the ones you paint over the sketch lines on. gives them that finished feel. doesn't have to be super tight just getting rid of those sketch lines makes all the difference! really cool! gonna go look at the pages I've missed now.
