Hey people from CA, here's my SB. Hopefully you all see some drastic improvement over de coming months. Criticism, well contructive in any case, is highly appriciated.

Not entirely sure how this works, as I'm typing this.. But I'll see.
Selfportrait![]()
arm studies.. Since we don't have any great anatomical classes at our college.
nice studies, esp. the arm and torso done with the white lines.
Thanks Ljk, I just feel so freaking bad at drawing looking at everything here, inspires me though! o.O
yet another arm drawing, but it's a traditional one. I'll upload more sketches soon ^^, kind of busy these weeks! Loving the forum so much![]()

Just a doodle I didTrying to learn light/shadow values.
Trying stuff out in Photoshop, though I really want to start Painter on short term aswel
Friend of mine commited suicide past weekend. So I made a little fast sketch as for a tribute. He had borderline and we never even knew.. Always wearing a mask I guess :|
This represents that mask a bit, but how I and all of his friends feel.
I want to draw so much, the place I'm currently doing my internship as a 3D artist is really inspiring me alot. Though I'm like 13 hours away due to the travling times.. I just can't finish anything, or even start. It'll come though, once I go back to college. (which is in january). Somehow I'm scared to use alot of contrast, though I really think it's a neccesity! I just ruin stuff if I try to.
face study doodle
Hey, keep on building up man! I like your drawings, that bridgman study has a great expression, yet great insight to it. What about keeping a real little scetchbook? Scribble stuff on the toilet or on the way to work, draw your food on lunchbreak or design something. I would like to see more traditional stuff.
I am sorry about your friend. If it is any consolidation, the piece is strong. Art that is drawn from the necessicity to be honest and express what can't be put in words is always very strong.
Take care mate!
Thanks man, coming from a Groninger! I really should post more traditional stuff, and I will! Thanks for the kind words.
Tried painting in PS again
Some facestudies from today
My dog, it's a pug.. yeah, only a tad buffed.
He has these rampage moments when he's getting a treat

Another arm study
Bit more
backsides
doodle
Wow it's strange, your hands look quite nice but the arms looks rather hastily constructed. Normally it's the other way around. You have some very nice lines, though, especially this is nice: http://www.conceptart.org/forums/att...1&d=1261651033
Good to see you drawing more on paper!
It's done in PS though o.O But thanks for comment, I try! I'll post some normal sketches aswell
very cool and funny sketchbook so far, really nice studies as well. Are you using bridgeman studies? And i usually am too afraid to use a lot of contrast as well, tho i would recommend you to experiment and try it a bit more
great stuff tho, keep up the great work![]()
Nifty stuff. Your arm studies really make me want to do my own. Especially the one that has the different angles of movement with the same base. Never thought of that before.
Been awhile since I posted another doodle
@ Lav: thanks! and nopeShould I? I just sketch in the trein and stuff. It's all imagination.
@ Jeshuea: Ah, yeah man go for it! And thanks alot for the kind words![]()

pretty interesting sketchbook you've got here....... I really liked your drawing of the buffed up pug....... keep posting man
Nice looking sketchbook so far. The pug is awesome! Your arm studies are pretty good too, just keep up the studies! I'd recommend straying away form bridgman/loomis books at times and just study the skeletal figure! Keep it up!
"Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother's eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye? How can you say to your brother, 'Let me take the speck out of your eye,' when all the time there is a plank in your own eye? You hypocrite, first take the plank out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother's eye."

@Death I will
@Rhoades I love meh pug..! ThanksI never studied bridgeman/loomis, but I should study figure indeed!
hmmh been ages, but I'm starting again.. Might even attend an art college next year here in Holland. Not entirely sure yet though. Anyways, here's a really fast drawn WIP!
Not sure if it's ever going to happen, contrast, lighting.. color! It seems so hard haha. The below WIP is recent work though, all the above was early 2009 I think. I'm going to keep at it more now, post more and study other SB's.
