Does anybody fill their own paint tubes?

I know filling a empty paint tubes ain't rocket science. The paint goes in the open end. But do any of you have any pearls of wisdom for filling without air bubbles. Or, for that matter, solutions to overcome any other problems that I may encounter while doing this.

Back in art school I had carelessly tossed in some tubes of paint into my paint box, and the corners had punctured the tubes of a couple of the other tubes. I decided I'd transfer the paint from the damaged tubes into fresh paint tubes. Of course it would have been easy to snip off the end of the old tube and squeeze it into the new tube if not for the messy hole I had created, so I decided to cut it open length wise and use a palette knife to fill the other. It made a huge mess. I never did perfect it before I decided it was just better to put duct tape over any holes in tubes.

Matt Innis has a good demo here. The one thing I'd add is that it's useful to put a paper collar inside the last half inch or so of the tube to keep it clean, especially if it's the type with a wax seal.
