    Xmas postcard

Hi everyone! Finally got myself to start posting a bit more around here.
So might as well start with a sketchbook topic.

Here's some recent character sketches I've done, supposed to be some sort of soldier.

    Some old robot sketches

    A recent speedies

This one is almost finished I'd say

Crits are always more than welcome

Very cool posts, the soldier reminds me of Cyrax (from mortal combat) for some reason, oh it's the color i think, those are all awesome. I really like those thumbs as well and the cool ships in the last post. Over all i just like the ways its done.

Thanks Kuidf^!. Still a long way to go though... I have problems staying loose when I try to paint by shapes.

    Anyways, some environments

hey nice new updates here lots of atmosphere and depth. in the last sketch the envi looks gr8 just those two standing figures are looking duplicate of each other, the same case is with the flying ships, if u add a bit of variety to it these its definately a five star piece. And thanx a bunch for usefull advices u gave back on my SB now i understand what u were saying, its just i used the reference for that peice and followed the composition of the photograph...wasnt actually looking at compositional aspects, ur comment was quite an eye opener, iwl work on that...cheeers!!!!!

Thanks for the comments Maria, I'll definetly look into it, atleast the characters (in fact looking at them now, the foreground one is looking too big as well).
I have a habit of re-using material to speed up the process, but yeah sometimes I should do more to hid that ^^

    Hey Morgado!
Very good works mate! I specially love the extraterrestrial ship in post #8, really cool!!
I like the fog in the legs of the first characters.
That last enviro got a dense atmosphere, great..

    I´ll be back!

Yeah the leg looks strange, but I kindof like the shape it does, so maybe I'll fix it via inserting some kind of gadget there to not break the silhuette... to be honest I'm more worried about the left arm

Anyways, many stuff to fix in many paintings, but I prefer learning from my mistakes and move on to a new one, and fix old ones later

Here's another quickie, trying other techniques and brushes

I'll return to the drones soon, I want to take it to a full concept. In the meanwhile, a fast brush test
