Found a little more time to try some studies. Here is an attempt at some expressions from sad to angry and a self portrait.

Here is my latest DSG effort. Nice to get time for an environment pic at last! I'll probably finish this one at some point when I have time.

Got time to do some more anatomy studies from my Rubins anatomy book. Hopefully I will have time to continue with these soon.

Another study referenced from KindGirls.com. I took this one a bit further than planned as I was enjoying myself. I guess since I am trying to work on my anatomy, that is okay but I need to do more loose, gestural work too if I can restrain myself from getting drawn into detailing!

Your sketchbook is coming along very nicely so far and i am seeing a lot of improvement in your rendering. In this latest piece of the woman on the tree everything looks great. My crit would be that her groin area is a bit small for those legs she has. I hope this makes sense. I would do a paintover but im not at my pc atm.

In my latest image, i suspect that the whole upper body, above the belt, (rolled up shirt I think) is too small compared to the legs. I will see what I can do to fix that but you are welcome to do that paintover when/if you have time.

*edit* How is this now? Made small adjustments in the leg/groin area.
*edit2* I should have measured properly in the first place! Never realised how HUGE I made her legs in comparison to the upper body. Think it is okay now though. I left the top image for comparison.

Soultek: Thanks for the paint-over man. I really appreciate you taking time out to help. I see exactly what you mean and I made very slight changes but I feel I can't show much more buttocks if I stick closely to the reference. Here is a link to the image if you want to see what I mean.

Some face studies. Again, referenced from KindGirls.com. Plenty more studies to come, including male and kids faces too, just as soon as I can get them done.
Hopefully the more I do this, the easier it will become to paint people accurately from imagination since that is a weak point right now.
