funny stuff, love the afro look of this character XD
you deserve more stars mate, your sketchbook is interesting already and keeps getting better and better.
Keep up the good work

The figure studies from the last page are great, and doing you a lot of good! Kitsune turned out really nicely as well, she has extra attention paid to edges, which is something I think you could work on. Things tend to get a bit mushy/soft in some of your digital work.
keep up the great work!
krel: Thank you, mate! You're doing great yourself. Let's keep these things up!
ares: Thanks mate! Glad you're having fun in here![]()
You guys are very supportive to me, i appreciate that a lot!
kingkostas: Thanks for the feedback and the star(s), i really appreciate that. Thanks for the encouragement. I'll keep it up.
BRINKMAN!: Thank you for the crit. I need that. I feel that way too, especially when i do colors on my digital, somethings somewhere get to look messy and soft. I must pay more attention to edges.

Here's a quick still life i just did in around an hour (sluggish huh?):
crits would be very appreciated![]()

hey whit, sorry i haven't replied i here before, though i've been looking. i really think the kitsune's been your best work, really nice painting.some things that have helped me tons in terms of learning to build forms have been like, Scott Robertson's Rendering Matte Surfaces dvd series, "Basic Rendering" by Robert W. Gill, and other things i could find on light and color theory. Check out Loomis' Creative Illustration, and Eye of the painter as well, they helped a lot. Also, the VirtualArtAcademy (virtualartacademy.com) has things on form that have helped me understand it better as well. other than that, lots of time and effort. i would suggest working on crafting form in simple shapes as exercises, and use that to build your working knowledge of more complex shapes. hope this helps. keep up the good work man, push and push!

Turbosnail: Thank you, friendespecially for liking The Thunder dude. I have got a flashing thought about his characteristic lately, you know, some character background and stuff. It's pretty weird and absurd, but i like weird and absurd
Artofinca: Thanks, mate, for your support! I am trying to squeeze in more personal work. It's not easy though when you need more money (i am saving up for intuos, heheh)
purb: Thanks for the info on the learning resources. I never heard of them before. I checked them and i think they will help me a lot. I'm interested especially with the book from Robert W. Gill. I think i saw one on a local bookstore.
So, I've gotten a flu these past two days, it was brutal but am better now. Here's a painting i've done recently, i've just played DotA again when i was sick

Hi there! Thanks for stopping by my SkecthbookI'm glad that you have recovered from the flu now!
I love the work in your sketchbook! Your sketches are so fun and lively, and full of character. I like your newest piece too, you should definitely push to finish it.
Your still life which you posted previously is great, you've captured the forms very well! I wouldn't worry too much about the time it takes, I usually take a long time with studies too![]()
very nice. Also the quick life study have a very beautiful style, created by nice brushtrokes and the texture.
Keep it up

...and who do you think you should thank?
...Your imagination and talent!
Now, let's hope that you don't brake your head, if not it would flood the world, and then we will laugh of the days when we were worried about global warmming.
yay, dotA![]()
I played that A LOT. Tight looking pose too. Only thing that's missing for me are some hard edges to make it more crips and real, you know ?And a lil bit more color!
Lol noo! I hate Mangixso boring to play.. but he kicks ass though
thanks for your kind words in my sb.
Keep drawing, you're doing good!
panda drunken master? Reminds me of Warcraft.
latigid: Thanks. The second one isn't mine though
lennon: lol. Thank you, man! Yeah i'll keep this head safe, would override my own sanity if it ever breaks
arestocrat: I must punish myself for playing it a lot stillYeah, i'll try to keep pushing on that Pandaren. Heavy bloke he is.
krel: Thanks man! Really appreciate that. I like starsand yeah, he's of the same race, that brewmaster is. He's a Pandaren.
DefiledVisions: Boring? Noooo. Lol. I rarely played him actually, Blame your Beer Dragon, man, it's the one that drives me to do him. Yay for Beers!!!
zerdron: Thanks for looking here. Yeah, he is from Warcraft, the world's best "mind poison"
Well, here's how he is currently, nothing much done to him, just some proportion fix, etc. Nothing worth showing but since i promised myself not to reply without art, and i really want to reply your great comments, so here it is:
muddy, muddy, muddy colors!will have to try to finish this.
and i just started some silly painting, maybe good for t-shirt, idk:

Your painting is looking good so far! You know what you need to do on it, so no crits from me - just dont give up on it!
Aww! I love your owl! It looks so cuteI'd definitely buy it if it was on a T shirt!
Keep up the good work!
Drawings are starting to look solid, dude. Keep rockin the studies.

Yeah, dude! I love that still life!
HEY! Someone changing my sketch book title! Man, that is creepy! Seriously, i don't know what happened, the word witcrack is changed to asscrack. It actually is kinda funny... a little harsh, but funny (it's my moniker!) heheh... Ah, nevermind that. Won't change it back for now. Might be an April fool's jokery.
Well...
Spirit: Glad to see you stay in tunedLet's hope the owl make it to t-shirt. And thanks for your compliment.
P sage: Thanks, dude. I'll rock more studies
Brinkman: Thanks! Let's hope more still lives are coming *crossing fingers*
Now, the updates:
The continuation on Mangix the Pandaren Brewmaster, i defined the background, kinda confused on the perspective, so if any of you guys got any input, please tell me
And here's some fun stuff i just did after reading ron lemen's tutorial here on CA (still not finished it)
starting with this random shapes:
and they developed into this:

it raises that old question again: "What exactly is my style??"But it don't bothers me any more, it kinda sounds rhetoric now

Hey keep up the drawing, doing good!
I quite enjoy your panda. It needs some contrast. I'd also lower the horizon, add some space around him, etc
![]()
yeah i would also suggest adding more contrast.Gentlefood made a nice paintover. The shapes give out nice ideas
keep it up mate

Gonna break my own rule here, replying with no art, because i don't want to leave your replies unanswered
latigid: Yo big ears!(just joking. But is that really you, your avatar?) Thank you and yeah, it's one of those beneficial fun stuffs. I'd like to see you give it a go
JustinBeckett: Thank you for visiting and your nice wordsChecked your SB, it's great also
GentleFood:Thank you big times for critique and especially the paintover. The lowered horizon is a big help. As for the colors, that's what i actually aim for, my initial painting is always dull in colors, still haven't master the blending thing.
Kingkostas: Thank you, i will
So, why no art? Well i have been busy with some graphic design jobs. The thing with changing professional focus is that you cannot completely drop the old image of you, people around me still knew me as a graphic designer now with hard-core interest in drawing and illustration. It's not all bad though. The money pays![]()
