Hi

Anatomy?
what kind of character design? animation, video games, movies?
also post some drawings so we can gauge where you should shift your focus towards.
Movies would be cool.
Thanks for the feedback.
I will post some drawing when I return home.
Have to go to work![]()
King..
I think my main problem is just the overall build of bodies, and faces.
so bodies AND faces are the problems with you character?
Then yeah, some anatoym studying is going to help you. Lots of avenues out there too explore, books, classes, observation. Just keep in mind your goal when you draw.

Faces not so much.
But yes I feel like I need quite a bit of help on bodies.
I have never tried drawing them, I tend to stay away because I don't feel I can draw them well![]()
The things you have trouble with or avoid are what you should probably work on the most....until at least, you no longer avoid them.
Thank you guys for the advice![]()
If you can't afford to draw live models, do a lot of master copies and study anatomy book. As for master copies, copying comicbooks doesn't hurt, as long as they are well-drawn.
Ivan Reis is a great artist to copy. So is Butch Guice.
Have you visited John Kricfalusi's blog? You seem to be into the cartoony style.
I have not
Thanks for the info.

I just took a break to post this.
But sometimes I also draw stuff
Tom Bancroft has a good general book on creative character design, it kind compiles what you find here and there and gives you a workbook/assignments on creating a cast of characters.
Thank you all
Ehm to answer your question kiera, it was not.
But it seems alot like it
It was from a book that I have.
