    Any Tips?

I've been working on this off and on for a while...It is still a WIP, obviously. The dragon is inspired by Paradise Birds. I'm going for somewhat realistic, but still stylized. Its going to be lineless, so ignore the sketch in the background please. I'd appreciate any crits! Thanks!

dont really know what to say about this one, the creature design is amazing, i think the background spoils it in my opinion [i guess i do know what to say]

have you considered doing this as just a creature design on a basic background, maybe with that 1 flower, also love to see this with colour, really vibrant but fitting colours as if it where a peacock or some exotic bird

keep up updated please, really like to see the outcome

I really like your image, the dragon design is very good and delicate.

I would suggest that you create some complementary contrast from the dragon against the background, so the dragon gets in evidence, not the flowers (if that's what you want to do).

Here's somewhat what I want to say:

Wow more comments! Tangrim, yes..above and to the right. Any tips on simple lighting like that? Or rather, I think I need more help with the shadow the dragon would cast on the plants.

thesaint, hmm..I see what you mean. I'll tone down the flowers a bit, especially once I get to shading and highlighting them. The dragon is very bright and colorful..purples, reds, bright blue, etc. I'm hoping he'll stand out nicely, but I'll keep that in mind. Do you perhaps have a link that talks more about complementary colors? I'm sure I'll be learning more about them in college (starting this monday) but as of right now, I've never learned anything about them. D:

    Thanks for the feedback guys!

Well, if you got some extra money I recomend that you buy this: http://www.thegnomonworkshop.com/sto...anics-of-color

It's a very good class. But you can find all that info on the internet, here's a simple introduction of color theory: http://www.tigercolor.com/color-lab/...eory-intro.htm

And if you like it, here is a more complete analisys: http://www.worqx.com/color/index.htm
