Sorry for being away so long, been busy with many things. Finished school, moved back home, jobhunting and went to a workshop held by Glenn Vilppu! (will scan the pages soon) right now I'm just trying to tie loose ends..
Need to get back into daily sketching and studying and whatnot.. here's some recent work.
Thumbs/wip of my boss monster for the RIFT challenge, frustrating as hell.. I liked the "black sun" concept the most and worked it a bit but toally crashed. I have the ideas in my head but can't execute them. Studies studies studies.. gotta study!
Also, wip of a personal piece, Mephisto from Diablo 2.

Like the last studie and a 4 was way too low - so following Parsakoira I'm adding a 5 in the abstract rating system ~ (I've gotten two or three 1 star votes so far - always comical ~ or truly I'm aweful and have been figured out ~ ~ ).

your studies look good, but i think you should try getting your values correct first, the shapes are very accurate

Lovin' the studies. I really enjoy the energy in your strokes. It's easy to tell you're not afraid of losing accuracy while working fast, because you don't.
And I think your values are pretty spot on. Especially for the bird. The woman could use a LITTLE more light on her left side with a few highlights here and there. But I'm sure you'll be putting that stuff in anyway right? RIGHT?!
