Hi all, I have finally decided to take the plunge and post here on a daily basis(well at least attempt to =p)

I am going to keep it in Chronological order.

This was the very first Figure Drawing I did.

Metrini,

Nice to see you post on the boards! Nice shading on all the pictures. You still need to work on your anatomy though. The last one's arms look similar to tubes (they don't look like they have anything inside them). Get your family to let you draw their elbows and see how they look. There are three main bumps on the outside of an elbow and two depressions between them. Also, remember that the figure is a three dimesional figure and that clothes don't change that. They wrap around that three dimensional figure. The folds on the shoulders of that last one look great, but the way the rest of the shirt hangs it seems like her body is three inches thick or less on all sides. Keep at it, you're definitely improving!

Thanks Chris and I have persuaded my sister to let me use her as a model(Didnt take much much to get her to agree)

hahaha I know I know!~!!

But it turns out the model was double jointed. I will probably make it look more "normal" soon =p

The arm! It just looks unnatural...double jointed or not.

Your rendering very well with the still life. Lets see some more.

Sorry I haven't posted any old work. I agree with van on both counts: still life is great and POST MORE!!!!!

Also, I really like that one wing on the (barn?) owl. Glad to see you experimenting.

Shading on the last picture is fantastic. His mouth could be a little wider (Ideally, if you drew a verticle line through the middle of the eyes, the mouth's edges would be those two lines. Also the ears could be a little fleshier.

One is of Mandela and the otehr is based on my grandmother who wouldnt stay seated long enough so I had to improvise on some parts =)

Metrini,

Nice job on the portraits. Try drawing gestures of people in a place that's crowded, capturing the action that they're doing. Limit yourself to a minute per drawing. Then try doing a longer drawing with keeping their action in mind.
