Randis, it would be female. The US is more prudish than a lot of other places. Possibly a section could be put on the front cover and the full picture inside. I don't know - just guessing. You might have got their knickers in a right twist with yours being that good.

jdillon isn't being rude. He's being firm and honest, coupled with a bit of sarcasm.

Deadlines are deadlines and when we create something for the public, we should adhere to the deadlines we create. However, life's unexpected issues arise and delays can be inevitable. So when that happens, a simple post that takes no more than 2 minutes should be made. We deserve that, and everyone, no matter how busy, has 2 minutes to post, "Hey, guys, sorry about delays/etc. Here is an estimated time of judging decisions..."

I got the impression that, since the People's choice poll goes up on the 31st (tomorrow) that that's probably when the announcement would be made, so I've been chilling and waiting.

I won't have won a Wacom, but I tried new stuff and learned a lot, so I won SOMETHING.

(I am looking forward to seeing the winners, though).

I am not sure of that...

"JUDGING PERIOD:
Judging will take place on the date of August 7th 2009. Peoples Choice judging poll will open on August 1 2009 and will close on August 7 2009. "

If you look down on the post you will see that. Two different dates for the samething. I am not sure what is going on....maybe August 31 is the date that was ment to be the right one and that is why we have not had any updates?

This just reassures me that I'm not going crazy ^^ I kept checking back to this thread every week or so and just saw this thread posted by Jason today. I can see pretty much what happened... When this contest was announced, there were no streaming sessions, no big push to improve CA.org... I know there's been a lot going on with Massive Black, Reverie (can't remember when the last one was- was it the New Zealand one??? Geeze! That could take some time out!). So I imagine the best intentions were made to get this contest handled within the initial deadlines, but it looks like CA.org exploded in August and something had to give. I imagine this contest has taken a back seat, but not on purpose. An update would be cool, but I imagine no one even has time to update or like someone mentioned, has no real news to update.

So, no news is good news?

I really want to see who wins, as I think so many people here have a vested interest in knowing who won. Did I win? Did I? Huh huh huh? Heck, my mom and dad and BF are asking about this contest too! So I really want to know the results, but even though this seems like a long time waiting, when we finally know the winners, we'll all look back on this contest and forget about the waiting in a year or two.
