Nice start! These color studies are really gonna help if you keep it up. Gesture drawings and anatomy studies would help you a lot as well.
Thanks, ill try to get do gesture/ anatomy studies soon!
More studies and sketches:
Was playing around with more saturated colors and ended up painting 4 flying super heroes. The hardest part was trying to match the tone of the heads with the rest of it, still not satisfied though.
General body proportions seem pretty good. I especially like that you don't draw hands too small
I would suggest concentrating on faces and getting the spacial relationship of the features perfect... as well as the previous suggestion to look at perspective as well.
You have better digis than a lot of people's!
Don't believe everything you read on the internet - Abe Lincoln
How good are you?

More studies from photos and one from the imagination. The what i feel im really struggleing with is matching colors right so they all look part of the same picture.
p sage: Thanks, Ill have to get out the mirror and do some more self portraits.
Jizu: Yeah perspective makes me cringe.... But ill do a few, Sometimes i'm tempted to 3d model a scene in max and just paint over it, Makes me feel like i'm cheating though.
You're figures seem really good, but the environments seem to lack punch, I am no good at environments so I find it hard to see what the actual problems are.. Maybe some harder edges, and contrasts to create focal point..
Anyway, keep it up
Nice studies, man. Your skintones are looking good already, but You have to work on anatomy more. It's good to see you pushing yourself. Keep the studies coming.
As for the landscapes, I think corza334 is right that they lack punch maybe because of edges, but I think You should also work on Your values. I took a random forrest photo from the Internet and turned it to grayscale, and I did the same to one or two of your forrest environments, and your paintings turned out a lot more flat.
Hope it helps, keep going!
It doesn't cost You much to leave a comment in my sketchbook, and it can help me a lot.

First Sketchbook pencil sketch update. Also some more misc figure studies. On a side note, I am very happy with the barbarian painting attached. I just woke up this morning and started painting and this is what came out. Inspiration came from falling asleep last night reading R.A Salvatore's The Crystal Shard.
Great pencil sketches and faces, the hands are nice as well. I have the same phone as you haha. Try doing some paintings of people with more shadows on them so that you can get some interesting cools/warms playing off of each other. Otherwise keep going, stuff looks good.
More Everyday PS stuff. Scanning pages out of my sketchbook is awkward cause my scanner is an odd shape, Ill get around to it though. For now just some studies and self portraits.
I agree with some of the others taht you have some really good skin tones going on so far. Your people have good shading and value, however, I also agree with others that your scenery doesn't have as good of values. You do have good choices of colors, but some more practice copying the values in photos would probably be a good idea. I also agree that your anatomy could use some more practice and study. it's close, but not all the way there. You have some good work on your torso, but its the size relationship from head to torso to legs that I think needs the most work. Just keep it up and keep on drawing!

If you want follow up critique/comments, feel free to send me a PM or post on a thread of mine! I might not realize you need it, otherwise.
Two paintings, i used figure reference on both. I have been working on figures on interesting BGs.
More digital fun stuff.
Chaos fanart, had this drawing laying around so i thought id color it. Also another figure study... with clothes!
Some more studies in photoshop.
Some figure studies i did for http://www.drawingboard.org/viewtopic.php?t=67537
Did some character sheets of some of my older characters, i like how they came out...
So i have been trying to pay more attention to the faces one these studies. The bottom 4 are the most recent. Let me know what you think!
vast improvement on your figures!!!![]()
are you primarily using photoshop? have you tried corel painter yet?
Awesome progress on the figures, the colors are really help sell the form, although on this monitor they seem a little saturated... Keep posting, ill be back for more ;-)
JoshDArtist: Yeah just photoshop for now. I used to use painter but never really got comfortable with it.... maybe when i have less problems in my work i can ease into it again.
RandAlThor: Thanks! And its probably not your monitor, i did use some pretty saturated colors on the last 4. Mayhaps i will ajust them a bit on the next go.
I very like the first 3 girl on the last post...the first one i'ts your best for me!
Since the first post I think you are improved much.
You should try to be less detailed on the brush touch...more fresh...your style is a little bit eghties ;-) !
Good work! keep up!

DANKA: Thanks for the insight, but im not sure i get what you are saying about "be less detailed on the brush touch" do you mean leave the painting more loose?
Your last studies are really good.Keep on working.
These were done all done from reference. In my WIP i was told my faces were lacking so this is me trying to fix that. All were pretty quick, more like gesture paintings for the face. I was also trying to lean Painter as i did these, kinda a double whammy.
wouw.. really awesome coloringss.. do u use the color wheel for every job? i wanna use it too.. but i dont know how
My Concept Sketchbook - My Profile - Don't care my grammar level.. Because i don't know anything about it..
