The male figure was 'sculpted' from a modified version of the female base mesh.
The male is still a work in progress.

Amazing work. That Hitchcock head is killer! I also like the two blue heads, they look like a poster from a dark sci-fi movie

Superb quality work indeed. Very spot-on anatomy, I would just like to see more finished renders with textures.

    Thanks, Januz and fireframe.

A couple of insect models. The fly is all polly modeled. The dragonfly (skimmer) is polly modeled with some ZBrush detailing.

Nice work. I really like how you've done the fur/hair - it looks very realistic and you've really gotten the right feel into the first creature you posted. Overall the design and colors are great too! Wonderful work!

The only thing that really pops in my eye, is your horse. The neck and head seem huge compared to the rest of the body.

Griffonnage and dan0891—Thanks. The Kudu was done back in 2007 as a contest entry at CGTalk (Animals in Motion). It did win first place.

Bering—Thanks. Yeah, the horse’s head appears huge in the top image. It seems fine otherwise (second image down). I think the camera perspective in ZB is creating the issue. That said, I’ll have to check the model in C4D and will probably reduce the neck/head anyway to avoid the issue—whenever I get back to working on that model again.

The goatee, fur down the back/neck and tail of the Kudu were down with the Hair module in Cinema4d. The short fur on the rest of the body was painted in Photoshop.

Here’s a short fur tute on my process:
