I currently have partially completed Graphic Novel Series and Comic Book Series Scripts written and am looking for potential buyers for these scripts.
This would appeal primarily to an individual comic book artist or a creative team who are looking to break into the Comic Book industry, but lack a storyline and characters to develop a comic book or graphic novel to publish. Below is some further information to whet your appetite:
Graphic Novel:
Name: The Absolute
Completed: 2 Volumes and a third of the way into completing Volume 3. A synopsis of the entire storyline is also completed.
Expected Length of Series: I am estimating this to be of the order of 6 or 7 Volumes in length - though this depends on what the creative team want to achieve with it.
Potential: Excellent potential with the storyline and the characters to develop further in the future in terms of "Origins of" volumes, for which back storylines are already developed.
Genre: Not really superhero genre. It is quite unique in terms of subject matter and must be looked at to decide what you think of it.
Comic Book Series:
Name: The Rapture
Completed: Issue 1 is completed and Issue 2 is 1-2 days work away from completion. Each Issue can be developed and written in a matter of 2-3 weeks so ongoing script delivery is not an issue at all.
Expected length of Series: Ongoing
Potential: As with the Graphic Novel, this is an entirely new storyline and does not borrow from established characters already published. The potential here is to create a whole new character and series, which can be ongoing or can end at a certain point if that is what the creative team are looking for. My personal preference is to continue this series as an ongoing concern (like chaacters like Spiderman etc are ongoing) - which will guarantee ongoing regualr material for the creative team to continue publishing.
Genre: This is more along the superhero line, though this character is neither hero or anti-hero. He stands outside of these categorisations and the nature of the storyline can best be described as a new take on Spawn, but the concepts are very geared towards examining the nature of good and evil and that which is neither.
I would love to give more detailed information, but I must reserve this for serious bidders for this work. For those (friends etc) who have read the scripts (comic lovers and not alike), they love the storylines and characters, agree that they are unique and very creative and are waiting with bated breath for new issues and volumes.
Please bid in the following way:
1. Provide a tentative bid for the purchase of each issue of the Comic Book Series and Graphic Novel Volume (page count can be provided when required). As you will not have seen the material yet, please provide a bid per page whenever possible so we can get the communication started.
2. You will then be provided a synopsis initially to see if you are interested in the idea. The synopsis and scripts are registered as my own work in the UK for the timebeing and the winning team/individual will have written agreement to use the script upon agreement.
3. All I ask (apart from a purchase price) is that I am credited as the writer and creator of the finished product when published. This will only take the form of my name (Manny Mistry) as Written & Created By" credit attached to the title cover and any other pages within that display the title. The creative team are free of course to retain credit for all artwork, including inking, pencilling and lettering. I will retain credit for the creation of the story, including characters, plot, places and dialogue.
4. I will also ask for a nominal percentage of royalties from any published material and in this respect, I am very open to negotiation for the percentage.

Hi I'm working on this comic book. I want it to be a real comic book so I'm thinking color cover and 22 BW pages inside. The whole comic book will be comprised of short stories. I think it might even be cool to feature several great artists and credit them on cover.
Any idea what this project will cost?
I really like your stuff. I am interested in hiring you with the intent of pitching to Image.
What are your rates for
Pencils?
Inks?
And is it per page? I'm hoping for a 10+ page pitch.
Thank you.
