Here's my entry:
Newborn Entry: Yakisoba Newborn!
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Hi there, folks!
I was thinking about the idea of newborn, being able to be practially anything coming from a creation. If it comes out of nowhere, it can scare people easily. Then, after thinking for 2 weeks I figured it'd be something to see a pasta dragon coming out of the hands of a sorcerer cook.
Hope u like it!
Crits r very welcome
Good Luck to all!

Here's mineGood Luck to all, it was a wonderful experience for me.
Title: Counter Pandora’s
Brief Description: Pandora, out of curiosity, accidentally released evil to the world, leaving hope inside the box. Artists of the new age have begun to realize their power and capability to shape the world. And so they utilize their skill and creative power, just among the things they can do best, to conjure positivity and release it to the world.
In the artwork, the artist although corrupted by its malignant environment (symbolized by the chaotic abstract on the walls) summoned all his energy to make a difference through his art. Combined with pure will, focus and determination, his art materialized an entity bearing his motivation and purpose of creation. This entity symbolized by a female figure, one that was considered God-like during the early age, is getting ready to spread her wings and go out into the world and bring forth balance, counter evil and in turn, bring back hope (symbolized the Yin Yang gesture of her wings)
The second I read "bringing something into the world" I said "Ideas"- That's all artists do. This was originally 9 sep images but life happened and I changed the composition.

Whenever we bring something to life from our imagination we give it a part of our soul. This is what happens when said creation demands more![]()
My final entry for the Newborn contest. The fire elemental fairy is breathing new life, and death, into the forest...
This contest really pushed my artistic abilities. The fire was both a learning experience and a lot of fun. I was surprised at how quickly the piece came together after I actually started to work on it. It took me a month, but I probably only spent 10 actual hours on it!
Some truly glorious entries to see here. Wonderful to see and I don't envy the judging pane, ooooooh no, not at alll.
Great to just be a part of it. Best of luck to all, although you all seem to be winners already.

about my (heavily symbolistic and autobiographical) piece:
MY_OWN_CAGE
Not time, nor space.
The shell of rules and habits I mould my mind with, is the only real limit to overcome,
and finally bring myself to life.

We work in the dark – we do what we can – we give what we have. Our doubt is our passion, and our passion is our task. The rest is the madness of art. (Henry James)[/COLOR]
good luck!

Hey all. This is my piece for the contest. I'm liking a lot of what I see here. I pumped the contrast a bit thanks to a fellow artist's observation. Check it!

The Greek Goddess Nyx in her making of the stars and nightsky
hi every one
Concept behind the art :
" During the Samudra Mathan by the gods and demons, a pot of poison, Halahala, also came out of the ocean. This terrified the gods and demons because the poison was so toxic that it might have destroyed all of creation. Out of compassion for living beings, lord Shiva drank the poison. It was so potent that it changed the color of Shiva's neck to blue. For this reason, he is also called Neelakantha (the blue-necked one, nīla = "blue", kantha "throat")
From his throat came out " Neelashwa " (the blue one, nīla = "blue", ashwa = "horse"). the creature who spreads life. where ever he goes, barren land changes into forest and green fields." Neelashwa "brings light in the dark lands. but the dark lords wants to capture him so that he could spread darkness.
they say " it's rare to see 'Neelashwa' resting for a moment "
