Hoo, i was sure i commented here already! how could i manage to miss commenting here?

Man, thats a really wonderful finishing you have here! Love how the flat shapes work here, the flow is beautiful and the symbolic contrast is very nice... The way you made the flesh and bones bloom like flowers. Like the texture too!
Colors... beautiful!

here my thought...
I think the hand pops a bit strong, maybe because of the thicker dark outline.
Maybe a little bit fog behind the hand, then making the outline very thin and less dark (same as the other elements)

I was a little worried if i could translate this into paper/computer like how i visualized it in my head, and reading your description made me very happy that i did it!

The hand, i was trying to separate it from the midground, thus the bold outline, but i understand what you mean. I'll try it sometime
