Icon A birth of a new day... (final!)

    Hello everybody...

I have finally finished everything mattering this semester and can focus on this…
Just maybe it’s a little too late but I will give my best to finish this in time.
This are first two sketches and they are a little bit messy (and in case you haven’t noticed, and of course you haven’t noticed because it’s so messy, it is about birth of a new day... You know, night is dying, a new hope is coming, angels are flying all around etc. ).

    c&c are welcome…

this is so charming - i can see it becoming a beautiful image; i have just one little suggestion: maybe make sure you put enough stress on the new day in the final image - i think it might be just a little bit too in the corner at this stage

    best of luck

    Bhrandon - Thank you…
miycko - Thank you. Been thinking about it a lot. And, in the end, I realized that I need something simple. I hope it is…
pauscorpi - Yes, actually, I haven’t solved it yet - what to do with the sun. I thought it may be built out of light bulbs... I don't know... If you have any interesting ideas to share I would love to hear. Thank you very much…

    Anyways, a small update…
I am becoming really lazy these days … Have to work faster…
This is a first colour test. I wanted to make it dramatic with clear contrast. And just like I said, still don’t know what to do with the sun.

As always, I would like to hear your opinion.

shaping up nicely. I love all the support wires -- it's the technical theatre aspect of this piece that's really doing it for me.

Awesome. Just having a thought here but maybe you could have the candle of the star in the sun smoking like its just been blown out and the angel in the top left blowing out the one next to him? like the stars disappearing at dawn or something?
    Great work though

I thought it would be cool ,if the new born appeared from the bottom left, where the light is coming,it can be a head of a giant baby.well good luck

Keep it going st.s. Love the colour schemes and there's few days till the closing date.

Also I suggest playing more with colour variations to enrich the artwork as I find the dominant yellow and purple colour to be simple. Try looking up some reference and you will notice lots of colour changes in the scene unless that's what you aiming for.

Master Chill - Thank you very much But I don't think I deserve those big words
hueyyeng - Well actually, I was aiming at something simple... Maybe I was wrong Well, now it's too late. But thanks, anyway.

I think I will call this a final... But if anyone have any suggestions, I would love to hear them

And I would like to say thanks to everybody who gave me support during past few weeks...

the contest ends today doesnt it?

I think you could have pushed this further. I mean it looks good but it could have looked great.

I hope you dont see this as a put down, because its not... your good is far superior to my great. But the competition is tough, and I think had you pushed yourself a bit further this piece could have excelled.

I think you could have played with color a bit more, explored some more depth in your dark colors...

but still I really like your image, good luck.
