Hey guys, I guess I should post my entry here.

I think little girls are intrigued by the idea of dressing up and giving birth to a new persona through make-believe and imaginative play. The girl here is making her new dress and her new persona at the expense of the dragonflies who are now crippled. Maybe she needed to borrow their natural beauty because she felt she lacked it? In any case, she is a different girl than the one that wore that plain white dress.

I hope it makes sense and fits the concept of newborn well enough. :/

What I sent in as the final. I tried really hard on it and although I know it won't win, I hope at least some people like it. I just entered to feel like a part of the community a little bit more.

Technically, I am pleasantly surprised especially with the wings which were killing me at the time. I kept telling myself that it would pay off and I think it did.

I am very shy, so at first I didn't even want to enter. I know I am not a good artist, but I worked hard. Good luck to everyone else that entered.
