Anyone know any good way / books / website to really buff up your human face skills?

You can go on youtube, there are tons of videos tutorials about drawing human anatomy on there. try drawing skulls to get the basic shape of the head and add features from there.

Draw portraits, start to learn the anatomy of the head and practice drawing it until you can form your own faces based on what you have learned. Using reference always helps as well.

    Learn:

The Skull, as its frontal features are the basis of the face.

The individual features of the face: eyes, nose, mouth, eyebrows, chin, even the Philtrum. Make sure you know how to draw them, and that you know how each is assembled.

Make sure you have a general, but feasible knowledge of facial muscles.

Study it all and draw it as much as possible - you will get skilled fast.

"Those who can, do. Those who can't, teach" - bullshit.

    Joseph Sheppard
